Mt. Helix Park is a historic institution located at 4901 Mount Helix Drive in La Mesa, California. Established in 1925, this park features a beautiful Amphitheater and Nature Preserve, all maintained by the 501(c)(3) Mt. Helix Park Foundation. We would like to extend a special thank you to our supporters and annual business members, including AHarvest Construction, Ballast Point Brewing, and many more. The Foundation is dedicated to preserving and enhancing the park, amphitheater, and cross memorial on top of Mt. Helix. Visit us today to enjoy the natural beauty and history of this iconic landmark.

"Beautiful 180 view of San Diego such as the waters of Coronado, the Downtown buildings, and East County. Easy access to parking or park below and walk up to Mt. Helix to get some steps in. This place is also used as a venue for events."
"Very nice place with beautiful views from atop the hill. The parking lot is rather small so I park on Vivera and hike up. There was a porta potty last time I was there a couple of weeks ago. Great place to watch the sunset and view distant horizons."
"Lovely views and easy trail at the top. Climbing stairs in outdoor theatre challenging for bad knees but doable. If you use apps you might want to check out Peak Finder to enjoy identifying all the mountain peaks. Obviously sunset is dramatic. Brings binoculars and camera."
"Excellent views of the beautiful mountainous area. Amazing tribute to a mother. Only a short ride from downtown San Diego. Well worth it. Plays and other events are held in the amphitheater in season. Also, you pass many beautiful homes on the way up."
