"This is a fantastic park to come to if you want to get out in nature in North County San Diego but don’t want the beach scene, and want a park that’s in a quiet neighborhood. I gave 4 stars because sometimes there can be a lot of residual trash on the ground from birthday parties, but I have seen park staff actively cleaning-up. Just know, you’re little one may find some interesting things on the ground. We’ve been here more times than I can count and the kids love to do a picnic and nature walk. This is a very large, open park with plenty of parking. I don’t have photos, but there is a large play structure, swings, and a small play train. There is also a bathroom but it can be a little gross at times, so bring hand sanitizer! This is also a great park for birthday parties because it’s so spacious. I’ve seen multiple bounce houses up at a time and no one was pressed for space. The trees make for a great place to hang piñatas as well."

"Best park in Oceanside. Large mature trees, tons of shade. Volleyball courts, basketball courts, play structures, parking, restrooms, and a lot of open space. There are fire pits and picnic tables. The City's Park & Rec department is a joy to work with for permits and events. Also, the ocean views to the west and mountain views to the east are breathtaking, beautiful location!"
