"I paid $36.28 for tickets and we went opening day, my birthday, March 1. While the gardens were pretty and filled with photo opportunities but I was extremely disappointed in the fields themselves. I now understand they bloom best late March/April but I really felt opening day was hyped up by the emails I constantly received. There was food and drinks available for purchase but since it was their first day they didn’t have all the menus options which was also disappointing as this wasn’t stated before my purchase. My toddler had fun stamping his passport and playing at the cute playground. Downsides, it was all sand so my toddler wanted his shoes off, however, the structures are wood so I was afraid of splinters in his feet. I think I would’ve enjoyed this more at a later date."
"Armstrong Fields Of Flowers in Carlsbad is magical this time of the year. The place will take your breath away because of the landscaping, arrangements, and flower fields that will make your day fresh and fabulous. Wear comfortable clothes and light walking shoes. Bring water and snacks to enjoy during breaks."
"It was beautiful and everyone working there was really nice. I went by myself but so many guests were really nice and helped me take photos. The staff held on to my luggage while I roamed around the ranch and not that I was worried but everything was there when I got back. This is not a like normal service. They were just so kind. The blooms were amazing, I loved the butterfly garden, but I wished it was butterfly season."
"Though it has a relatively short season, the flower fields are fun to go to and hang out for awesome pictures. They closed May 8th, 2022 but still had quite a showing of flowers for public viewing. Not sure when they reopen but this is one of those places that I visited for the first time after living in San Diego for 30 years. Go figure. Admission is fairly inexpensive and for an extra $6 you can add the tractor ride that takes you throughout the property and saves your legs. We took my mother in law for Mother's Day and she had a wonderful time. We all did. Once you are done with the flowr fields you can drive next door to the Carlsbad Outlet mall for some shopping and some food."
