Reviews
"Huntington Central Park is a respite from the suburban world, with shade trees, walking paths and the small lake. The park is one more natural place to go besides the beach, when seeking to escape the heat, with just a short drive to that cooler coastal air! Update on the little lake, with addition of a long wooden deck pathway with railing! There’s a disk golf course between the lake and Goldenwest Street, just beyond the newer walkway. Also to the southeast end of the lake is an equestrian park. A fairly large dog park is at the southeast end of the lake, just off of Edwards Street. Entrances to this side of Huntington Central Park with available free parking are accessed off of Edwards Street, Central Park Drive or Inlet Drive. There’s also some access from the Goldenwest Street side. For the sake of simplicity, this review is with the west portion of Huntington Central Park, separated by Goldenwest drive. Rainstorm’s have had a positive effect on the greenery, tree and plant growth, tho have saturated, puddled and muddied the land in areas. The lake has been higher than usual with runoff still flowing after the storms. Trees have fallen and debris scattered, all quick work of the parks department, restoring the place back to normal."
"This is a big park with several little parking lots. There is a huge playground for children to play. Plenty of green spaces to bring your own bbq. There’s restrooms and and even a small restaurant nearby a lake. This is a dog friendly park."
"I love coming to this park. I like to walk around. Admire all the green and the few animals I encounter. Like this squirrel eating a Dorito."
"We came for the first for a family birthday party and the park was a wonderful setting. Though it was quite busy because there were several parties and a volleyball tournament, this did not deter our experience. My son age 7 loved the playground. It's very large and he loved climbing the various obstacles. He also enjoyed seeing the little ground squirrels peaking out of their tunnels. The park itself was very vast and though we didn't explore its entirety, we plan on coming back."
"Superfun with the kids, they can walk, run, jump, cycle, skate, one of the best playgrounds I’ve ever been to in the state. You can ride horses nearby too. Calm and relaxing, a senior center, restaurant, many amenities for a fun day out in the sun!"
