"A friend introduced us to this nice Japanese grocery store. We found some pastries and fresh sushi. They sell the typical grocery store items like food, fresh meats, and household items, but they're mostly Japanese products. There's a restaurant and a large plush toy section."

"A decent Japanese supermarket that worth you shop around. The sashimi deal is pretty good in terms of quality / price. They offer 20% off after 6 pm. And often sold out after 7 pm. I still goes to mitsuwa and marukai these days, but to be honest, I think Osaka marketplace is the best among these 3."

"Such a fun Japanese marketplace. Great selection of groceries, cuts of meat, variety of fish/sushi, fun little to go meals/snacks. They even had samples of some really tasty beef when I went. The food court in the corner has decent items that will do the job if you're craving ramen and such. It's nothing amazing but still nice to have if you're already shopping and wanna eat in a pinch."

"Fremont and the southern east bay now has a full fledged Japanese supermarket. It seems to be gaining in popularity as more people find out about it. And perhaps as a result, their shelves are stocked with more items. They have large fruit and vegetable section. At the back of the store is an extensive section of Japanse sake, beer, wine, scotch, liquers, drinks. It's impressive...go check it out. At the other end is a fantastic selection of sushi rolls, sashimi grade seafood (salmon,Hamachi, tuna, hamachi,uni,squid,clams,classic, Wasabi etc) party trays. Everything you need to prepare or host a sushi party at home. And at the front to the right is a small food court. The menu above the counter doesn't show all the things they make. Order at the easy to navigate touch screen, pay and pick up latr at the counter. Apparently you can buy the prepared food items at the checkstand and bring them to the food court to eat. They even have a small microwave available to heat things up. Bring a friend or friends, buy a sushi roll or rolls or even a platter, some drinks and eat on site. It's a great deal. People might say the other Japanese markets in the bay area are better, but for those living in Fremont, Milpitas and North San Jose, Osaka is good destination if you're looking to purchase Japanese items...whatever they may be"

"Come with a grocery list or else you’ll definitely end up over your budget and just want to buy everything :D Food variety: 5/5 awesome selection of products from Japan!!! There are high quality wagyu meats here, pork, and some chicken. For some reason there isn’t whole chicken or drumsticks here. There are lots of Shabu meats too. AWESOME selection of sushi/sashimi. Food quality: 4/5 some of the products were moldy. Like one package of strawberry and peppers that had small amount of mold starting to grow out. The veggies also doesn’t look washed as there are plenty of bugs in them (example: bok choy). Apart from these products that I came across, the meats are great! The sushi also look and taste decent. Osaka Marketplace has an app called “FreshQ” for both iOS and Android to order food to pickup ahead of time. There is also a $9.99 membership program. It’s nice and convenient to do shopping beforehand and just go in for pickup. Ambiance: super super cold here so make sure to bundle up! You can preorder sushi here and there is a eating area. The food vendors here aren’t of quality though. Hopefully they will get better ones like Gyutan Tsukasa U.S.A that’s located in the mitsuwa marketplace in Irvine, CA. This grocery store is also SUPER CLEAN. Love this place for groceries. Though the prices can be pricey!!"
