"I've been a loyal customer of the Grocery Bargain Outlet for the past four years, often shopping there 3-4 times a week. However, my recent experience has left me traumatized, disappointed and deeply saddened. Today, as I walked out the door, I was falsely accused of theft by other customers, which led to security approaching me. Despite providing my receipt, the situation escalated when a store manager aggressively intervened, insisting on a different receipt and implying mine was incorrect. The situation became even more distressing when the manager forcefully grabbed the bag from my hand, causing physical harm. This incident was not only traumatic for me but also for my 8-year-old son, who witnessed his mother being mistreated. As a result, my previously healing injury has worsened, leaving me in more pain, at a loss for words and feeling deeply embarrassed. I firmly believe that I was racially profiled and unfairly mistreated. This experience has shattered my trust in a store I once loved and left me questioning its commitment to customer respect and safety."

"Today the mother of my 8 year old was shopping there, she was Aggressively detained by lost prevention accused of theft, having her bags ripped from her hands, (causing A magnitude of emotional damages, embarrassment, that was all witnesses by our 8 year old son. She did not even offered an apology. Corporate store has not even responded to us."

"I guess that management is changing the rules for EBT usage for 2024. Unless they can provide the article that mention these changes, be wary if you use your EBT card. 1) Plastic bags are NOT free. Previously it would be no problem. 2) If there is EXACTLY ONE NON FOOD ITEM, the cashier will just cancel your whole transaction after you swipe/insert your card and force you to use another payment. Be careful for families with kids who wants to get like a toy. Hell, even the competitors knows better and subtract the non food item to FIRST USE the EBT AND THEN use another card."

"I don't know about you, but it's pretty fun to roam the aisles of this place and look forward deals. Oftentimes there just a little bit less than other places, but you will also find some real steals. You also find things that are sometimes a little unusual or unexpected. Other times you wish that they had things on a regular basis, you do have to get used to the fact that if you like something they have it might not be there for a while or ever again. But get it while it lasts!! One thing I wish they would do a little bit better is have more Asian food, but I think that they are improving on that from what I've seen. I like that they have kimchi, potstickers, and some rice noodles and ramen noodles there the regular basis."

"I love grocery outlet. The prices are cheap because they source surplus groceries that are still usable. I always find something new and it’s cheaper than elsewhere. Not the best if you want the same brand of groceries (bc there are no guarantees you’ll see the same thing twice) but amazing if you like variety and want to help combat food waste and save some money."
