"Paid $40 to have my west elm comforter to ripped open dirtier than when I dropped it off. It also smells like it sat in a musty damp basement or car for a week. Go somewhere else please. When I called they said they would get back to me Monday (in 4 days) LOL.The place is nasty inside as well it looks and smells like a dump. Not greeted when you walk in it’s some grumpy girl who seems fed up with life. How pleasant."

"THEY LOST MY SUIT and WON'T PAY FOR IT! On December 6, 2022, my black suit was dropped off at a sister store (Dougherty's Cleaners). When my wife went to pick it up, she was informed that it had been lost. The owner Lee asked if we would wait a month to see if they could track it down. After the first of the year, my wife again went in to get an update. She was informed that it was in fact lost and was asked what it would take to compensate for the suit. She informed them that to replace the suit, it would cost $200. For over a month now, she has gone to the business and repeatedly told that the owner won't answer the phone, he's busy, call back. Yesterday 2/15, I called and spoke with the attendant and I told her she needed to have compensation for me and that I would be there at 5pm to pick it up. Thus giving her an entire day to work this out. When I arrived at 5p, there was nothing for me to pick up. I was informed that while on the phone with her that morning, the owner was standing right next to her. He is well aware of the situation and simply refuses to pay us. That location was sold, I was informed, so that is why I am using one of his remaining locations to file this complaint."

"NEW OWNER - FIND A DIFFERENT CLEANERS After having been a loyal customer of this business for 8 years I’m unfortunately having to now go all the way to West Knoxville to find a cleaners I can trust and that will give me the same level of service and affordability. The new owner has torn down in days what the former multi generational family owners took decades to build. He has failed to realize this business was built on relationships with the customers and when he bought the business he was entrusted to be a steward of those customers. He couldn’t care less if a customer is treated well or not. If promises are broken. If they are offended. If they leave. It’s obvious he doesn’t care. And the employees will never care anymore than the owner does. Find another place to go where your business and your hard earned money is appreciated. Where people give you their word and you can trust it. Where you as the customer matter. Halls Cleaners has died. It was a good thing while it lasted"
