Ace Hardware of Porter Ranch

"Unfortunately after my experience here and at Franklins ace in Ventura, I refuse to do business with any ace. When I bought the ooni karu 16 everyone was nice. When I decided to return it, suddenly I'm looked at as a thief. I went to Franklins because I was in the area. Cashier looked at me like I was stupid for not knowing Ace are franchises. "you can't return that here" with no explanation. Manager came and explained why. Went to porter ranch a couple days later. Cashier immediately says "idk if you can return that" and walks away to call his mommy, I mean manager. She was very nice and made it clear that the box looked as if it had been opened. If an item isn't returnable for any reason it should be explained to the customer at the POINT OF SALE. It's not written on the receipt. If the box looked as if it had been opened, maybe the cashier should ASK the customer if it was opened/used. If it LOOKS open when you sell it, explain to the customer that they may have trouble returning it Really basic customer service skills lacking. Unfortunate as I would like to support franchises And no, it wasn't opened or used. Just sh!tty tape from their warehouse"

"12/30/2023 Bought two poinsettia for the holiday season. It looks beautiful. 08/2023 Visited a newly opened ACE Hardware of Porter Ranch and immediately bought a 3-piece Infnty Mosaic Bistro. The store is so clean, and staffers are friendly."

"Ace Hardware stores are Great! However, this rating is for their Online Order for Same Day Pick Up at this particular location. Placed an Online Same Day Pick Up, which later on end up being "Canceled." However, checking much later Online again, it shows that this item was "In Stock" at this location. Ace Hardware Online Deals are very enticing but very unreliable."

I had walked in and gotten pretty far into the store- I had tunnel vision so don’t think I heard one of the folks at the front ask me if I they could help me find anything. I overheard you tell a coworker something to the effect of “It’s NEVER TOO LATE to greet a customer” and made it a point to come over and check on me. I would not be surprised if a customer tries to poach you for your service level!"

I specifically like the fact that when I’m coming on the 118 freeway, it only takes me two minutes from the moment I get off on the Porter Ranch Drive exit until I park my car right in front of the store.
