"I went to the soft opening of this establishment for dinner, and the food was delicious! I had the soup base while my significant other got the stir fry. Unfortunately, she forgot to mention her peanut allergy, which they added to the stir fry; however, the restaurant was so kind and remade her order without charging us extra. The location was clean and the staff friendly. I definitely recommend going here to eat if you're interested in Korean-Chinese fusion. Update February 18: So my significant other and I stopped by here again after they've fully opened to the public and I can assure that the food is still very good. I'm adding more photos of the establishment, and I ended up trying the soup base again while my significant other had the stir fry. I got the same spicy level as before, and although the flavor was noticeable better. The heat wasn't as hot this time around, not a bad thing because this allowed for the soup base to come through with every bite. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area, extremely delicious."

Opting for the soup version, I was impressed by the rich flavors and the ability to customize the spice level. The fixed-rate for additional meat, whether beef or lamb, was reasonable. The attentive service added to the positive experience, with the server consistently checking if everything was to my satisfaction. The festive Christmas-themed decoration and music created a warm ambiance, and I look forward to trying their appetizers on my next visit. Highly recommend!"

"My Daughter took us to dinner after she graduated from UC Berkeley. It was her choice to dinner at Pixiu Mala Hongtang Oakland. It was a enjoyable time and service was exceptional. I thought it was average and there was plenty of ingredients. It lacked authenticity and deep flavor. It would be a good place to eat during the cold weather."
