"Do not use Roto rooter, pricing is insane and they will try to scam you out of more money if they can. Quoted me $10K for a job someone else did very well for $1.5K. Also charged me $465 to unclog my sink drain … that was just the standard price they gave me when they showed up before even looking at it. They have good reviews online because they enter people in a drawing for positive reviews, steer clear if possible."

"Update to the reply: I understand the quality of service reflecting the price…but $400 to run a snake to tell me there is a clog or not is not quality service. We decided to go with a different company who ran a snake, found out it was not a simple issue and replaced 40ft of pipe, all for $702 and were very professional. My review of this is not based on the work performed but before the work even started. We have some sort of clog in our sink, and we called this company. The sent a field guy out to confirm that it was clogged...which was concluded that it was. He then called a plumber and he arrived within the hour. He told us it would be $400 to run a snake through the pipes. $400 to RUN. A. SNAKE. If that did not fix the problem, then there would be additional costs involved, which would then be more than $400. How is a company going to charge $400 to run a snake though and drain and hope it works? Running a snake does not take that long and is a simple task. How is it OK to rip people off like that? We told him he can leave and we will take our business somewhere else. I can go rent or even buy a long snake for less than $400. I would suggest calling around before you choose this company. The Drain Doctor came out to a friend of ours and did not charge a penny to run the snake. I understand that is not standard and they were willing to pay but it was only going to be $75 if he had charged that. Absolutely ridiculous. Maybe your employee was trying to keep some cash on the side?"

"Issue: shower drain clog. Dispatch called at 9:45am to say plumber was en route and would arrive within the hour. I left at 12:15pm for an appointment (another adult was at our house). Two plumbers arrived at 12:30 to look at clog? Called 3rd plumber to actually do the work. Keep in mind this was a simple “auger shower drain” as stated on invoice. Was quoted $329 - seemed a little high - but I agreed as they were already there. After work was completed, the invoice was $395. Tech stated price must have increased and he was unaware. Also did not replace the overflow drain cover in shower. Tech was very friendly and the clog was cleared. 1-star due to adding $70 after completing work and arriving 1.5 hrs after dispatch stated."
