"I am amending my review of DRS - as i found some pretty crazy things as i have opened my own private shop after this nightmare. First off, a well put together car shouldn't need track support or constant work to keep it going too. You should be able to sort out a car and send out for practice without any major issues. Collect data, and come back without any major hiccup. I was a long time customer of DRS when i moved to California, i brought my lotus over to DRS and wanted to build a street car that i could take to the track. Following there lead i used them to build my Lotus Exige, but had many issues with the car after following there direction. I could count on two hands how many issues i had with the car and quite a few ruined weekends racing chasing gremlins (oil leaks, tune issues, fuel issues, etc). Also i was religious on taking the car from the track and back to DRS to find the gremlins of the build. Finally, DRS offered me to buy one of there other customers 211 moving to a new class of racing. The car looked well sorted, needless to say it had its own set of issues, the largest being a hurt motor with a VERY aggressive tune to boot. Car made it to two sessions, again same regiment - car goes to the track and back to DRS to look over the car and make sure shes ready for the next track day. On the second outing, i pulled the car off the trailer and the car was smoking heavily off the trailer - mind you the car was just at DRS to be gown through, a paid service. Car was returned to DRS, where they miss diagnosed the turbo housing (seal), and finally found the motor was hurt missing hole chunks out of the camshafts and rockers. As i have been in the race community for a long time, when i wanted to inspect the car i brought other shop owners to take a look of the issue. DRS never actually went through the car and pulled the heads, spark plugs, boroscoped anything, at the very least a compression test. DRS stood firm the issue of the product was because i didn't hire them for track support, but that was not actually true. From the logs on the ECU it showed otherwise. Car was hurt period and if i paid them to go through and sort out any issues, the car should of been gone through. Sorry to say i moved on from there shop - there decent mechanics for general repair of OEM built cars. There over there heads on the custom work. Be warned."
