Franklin Polo Academy, located at 1650 Old Hillsboro Road in Franklin, Tennessee, is home to the only public arena polo facility in the state. Established in 2016, the academy is dedicated to growing the sport of arena polo through regular lessons and exhibition matches held throughout the seasons. The Tractor Supply Co. Arena at the Park at Harlinsdale Farm provides a picturesque setting for players and spectators alike. "I am thrilled that I stretched my equestrian experiences by involving myself in the Franklin Polo Academy. The program is well structured and makes the sport accessible. My instructor, Samantha Uys was patient, clear and encouraged me to push a little farther. As an older rider, I thrived under her encouragement. Samantha always had an eye for safety for rider and horse. That is why I trusted her with my 11 year old grandson who had never been on a horse. Speaking of the horses, they are willing and well cared for. The welfare of the horses matters to me and I could tell that the horses mattered to Samantha and the grooms. I anticipate volunteering at the meets each summer. The matches were fine-tuned organized by Samantha. The atmosphere was/is inviting for polo newbies and social-types alike. Gathering friends to watch the matches adds to the quality of life living in Franklin."
