"My grandmother had an appointment with Dr. Lucy Bruijn for routine care at the MMG Sanderlin clinic. The patient is 93 years old, and requires a great deal of assistance with mobility and memory care, therefore going to any type of appointment is a daunting task. Due to construction taking place between our residence and the physicians office, we arrived 15 minutes late. While driving, I attempted to call the office and notify them that we were running a few minutes behind, but the call was not answered. Upon our arrival, I was told that Dr. Bruijn would not be seeing my grandmother today, because we were late for the appointment. I asked the receptionist to please explain that we were stuck in traffic, I had to take off work to make this appointment, and that it’s very hard to get her back and forth due to her health. Regardless, Dr. Bruijn continued to refuse, despite my plea, and offered to reschedule to the next week, stating that “she also had an appointment that she needed to go to and we would make her late”. Obviously the patients do not come first, so please, if you made it through this long post, save yourself time and frustration and chose another physician."

"I had my first visit with Dr Brujin this week and found her to be thorough, kind and helpful. I have been to a lot of doctors in the past who were not those things so I always brace myself when going to a new one. I was very pleasantly surprised. The office itself is a bit underwhelming but that’s no reflection on her or her skills. Good bedside manner and very knowledgeable."

"Clearly this office has no regard for their patients' health. I had an appointment scheduled for 2:30. I got off work, drove all the way across town and they literally cancelled the appointment while I was in the waiting room. What? You can't cancel an appointment 15 minutes before the appointment with me sitting in the waiting room. And on a Friday? They offered to reschedule me for next Thursday. Next Thursday? I'm sick now, not a week from now."
