Dr. Pinkley enjoys outdoor activities such as mountain biking, snow skiing, and trail running in remote places. He is proud of his family, including his wife Kelly and their two children, North and Virginia.

"Dr. Pinkley is the best pediatrician I have had for both my boys. One of my sons had to be hospitalized at Vanderbilt for 4 days and I hadn’t had the chance to contact him yet. As soon as he was notified of my son being at Vanderbilt, he came up immediately and checked on his status, looked at the chart, and just made sure they were doing everything they needed to be doing. I’ve never experienced a doctor that cared so much. The boys are completely comfortable with him and anytime they have been sick, his medical advice always got us through it."
