"Brought in a pair of canvas Converse, a patch covering the stiffener at the heel was wearing thin, and I was recommended this place. Brought them in, was quoted a reasonable amount. All well and good, they said the canvas would be replaced with leather. Actually worked out better for me, leather would probably last longer and I couldn't see it when wearing it. Took a week, got it back, brought them home. They used adhesive fabric, didn't even bother to replace the original problem - just covered it over. Then stitched over it, into the exterior of the shoe, creating a pattern that wasn't there before, and I don't know if they went over it several times or somehow put too much tension on it, but they damaged the fabric on the outside of the shoe while doing it. The pattern itself isn't even of a solid shape, its... wobbly. I brought it in thinking its just an interior piece of fabric to replace, even if they messed up, how bad could it be? Well, I got my answer. Photos are of exterior and interior. Exterior has damage to the fabric, and stitching that was not originally on the shoe. It doesn't even follow the contour of the heel well. The interior shows an irregularly cut piece of adhesive fabric (or fabric with adhesive on it - there's glue stains that extend into the rest of the shoes), plus the stitching. The bottom corners show that the original piece of fabric covering the heel stiffener wasn't removed, just stitched over. 2 stars only because they were friendly enough. But as for quality, never again. I wanted to continue to use my shoes that which no longer available to buy, and while these are still technically useable, they have been damaged and altered to the point I feel like they are not the shoes I originally purchased."
