"Definitely do not recommend carrying any loads for this broker. They admittedly sent me the wrong paperwork after I accepted a load. We delivered the load on time and submitted the BOL immediately. Once they received the invoice they realized the paperwork they sent me as a rate confirmation had a higher rate than what they wanted to pay so they demanded a new invoice with a different rate. Unfortunately, as it happens, brokers get the upper hand and those of us that run the trucks are subject to their deceptiveness. If I don't oblige to their demands, they'll simply withhold payment and then I'll have carried this load for free. It's a poor way to do business and keep a good reputation. An honorable company would have admitted their mistake and done the honorable thing by paying the amount on the paperwork. $300 is small to a broker, but can be make it or break it for an owner-op. * Edit to add- Thanks for confirming what happened and that you're not paying the rate provided. You've been great at owning up to your error. :)"
