"Animals look healthy. Place is clean, food and water in all cages. They have beautiful, loving dogs for adoption with no fee at the moment. Cats and kittens are also available. I would always recommend having 2 because better they entertain themselves than get into mischief. Please considered adoption as opposed to buying. These are loving family members who did not choose to be left behind. They all deserve a forever family! I commend these shelter workers who are very dedicated to this job. If you cannot adopt, please donate whatever you can to help them."

"Humane Shelter that lacks humanity! If it shutdown today it would change the amount of strays in the area since they rarely intake. If you want to be told to go to Cape or St.Louis by a place that doesn't know the correct town it's in than Caruthersville Humane Society is the place to be!"
