"I needed a large reef aquarium (130gal)($4800 Waterbox) moved to a new house. Clarksville R&R said they could do it for me for $1400 which seemed reasonable considering the amount of equipment, expertise, and labor required. I provided plenty of information, measurements, and pictures. I was thrilled to find a company who specializes in this type of work. I was also reassured by CR&R that if any problems were to happen, their insurance would cover the expenses. The day of the move comes and only two people show up at my house in their personal vehicles, there was no vehicle that was large enough to carry the tank. Two people seemed like too few people to carry this tank. It was too few and I had to personally help lift the tank at multiple points. Luckily, I just happened to have a rented uhaul that we could use to move the tank, without this, they would not have been able to even load the tank into a vehicle. No lifts, straps, or other safety equipment was used. Upon unloading the tank at the new house, the tank was dropped and the corner chipped off. At the time, I was disappointed, but not too worried as I thought that their insurance would cover the costs. All contact had to be started by me; There was no follow-up by CR&R. After weeks of back and forth and my animals in various holding tanks, I receive a response that their insurance will not cover it. I did not receive any store credit, coverage, or even an apology. This was genuinely the worst experience that I have ever had with any company in my life. I am out a $4800 tank with nothing to show for it. This company has no business moving tanks and the store is always filthy/ covered in algae/ pests. The employees never seem like they want to help you and are obviously underpaid."
"Less that 1 star. Everything we bought there died in a week and my tank is perfectly clean. It costed us around $40 for 1 freshwater fish and 3 snails. And all 3 were dead in under a week."
"I would NOT recommend buying superworms from here. They are priced well but after just a few days they smell awful and many are dead and others are slow and becoming lifeless. When I first received them there were gnats in it and another time there was some other tiny insects crawling around. I won't be back to buy anymore. Petsmart and Petco are overpriced but at least they are always lively and stay that way for a long time. Also, the dubia at Clarksville Reef & Reptiles is overpriced."
"I've been here a couple of times. Both times, the employees acted like I was a bother for asking questions or wanting to hold the lizards. You could tell they were unhappy with their jobs. There's always a dirty old tank sitting at the front door in the way. The baby snakes were in the teeniest containers possible with a water dish taking up most of the room they had. One of the baby snakes was shedding but didn't have anything to rub it's head on to get the shed off his head and eye caps. They had 2 tiny baby bearded dragons in a full-size, adult lizard tank. One of the other lizards was clearly trying to find a heat source but it's light wasn't working - they only had an LED strip lighting up the enclosure 2 feet above it. The 1 adult leopard gecko was in a giant tank that had no light on to even see what was in there and it definitely could have been better utilized for a beardie. The fish selection was very sparse but nothing inherently bad at quick glance. Not to mention, their reptiles and fish were severely overpriced. Example: The - assumed to be - juvenile beardie with no special coloring to it was marked at $200... I would not recommend purchasing reptiles from this place (unless maybe you're trying to rescue them to get them) or strolling through here for a fun experience seeing unique animals because you're just going to be disappointed and get a cold shoulder from the unhappy employees."
"Excellent experience. Helpful service by knowledgeable staff member. Habitats looked great. Animals are in exceptional condition."
