"My family and I have spent many weekends and a lot of money at CartCon. We have always had a great time there until yesterday. The owner lost his temper and was very rude to me while dealing with an issue of a broken gun. Our son’s friend rented a gun there and the gun broke after the first game. This gun did not break on the field, it broke in the car and right in front of me. No one tampered with the gun or did anything to cause it to break. The owner was very rude to us when we took it back in and accused my son’s friend and I of lying. At one point the owner was yelling and I had to ask him to stop raising his voice with me. It was very inappropriate behavior and the rest of the staff just sat there and did nothing to stop the owner from being so rude. When leaving, we were given our money back which helped the situation a little but over all, I would never let anyone rent equipment from there again. Honestly, we would never go back if it wasn’t the only place near us. I hope this review will warn others about renting equipment from this establishment."
"Been going to this field for about 7 months, got me into airsoft. The refs at the time were great and made it fun. Now the refs are very rude and confrontational. The layout of the field is fine but none of that matters if the refs continue to choose game modes that put every player in one section of the map with every single person sitting around because there simply is not enough space to even play. The refs continued to choose modes that put all of the player-refs into a compound where they could full auto out. During some of the games like this, some of the players got tired of the entire games taking place in one shipment container and we started our own game of TDM in the rest of the unused map. The games definitely favored the refs and made it hard for newer players to have fun. The refs also preached that cheating was not allowed, but didn’t do anything to stop them. The refs also berated players for pushing across the map and made the entire team go back towards spawn. Map is a 6/10, gamemodes are 4/10, and the refs are a 2/10. Not sure if I’m gonna come back or not. And on top of this the price went up recently and the hours of play changed from 9-5 to 10-4. So now I’m paying more to play less and deal with these bad refs"
"The field is large and well maintained. The referees are fun and seem to really enjoy their job. Games are well managed and have plenty of variety. Overall, a really fun experience. And some place I would encourage you to visit if you're in the area."
"Was a great field. But if you run hpa it's not for you. Well not me. They checked my guns and tagged them. But harassed me all day. No matter what gun I was running. They even checked my gun after the last game of the day. If I go back it will be batteries only"
"i’ve been going here ever since I was in middle school. it was awesome back then, and it’s only gotten better with all the time that’s passed. staff is always friendly and heavily focuses on player safety as well as providing an entertaining experience for their players. if your replica is acting up, they’ll try and diagnose it on the field to get you back in the game as fast possible. they’ll encourage everyone, and help new players by giving them fair tips and tricks as well as ensuring everyone is following the rules. and whilst EXTREMELY rare, if a player has sustained an injury, the referees immediately enact a Cease Fire and make sure that player is their #1 priority in that moment and that they are taken care of before continuing games. this caring behavior extends in to the community of local, frequent players as well. the shop carries quality replicas, provides rental players with quality equipment, and sells fairly priced entry-level equipment. they also provide fairly priced beverages and scheduled food trucks for their players to enjoy meals either in the staging area or on the comfy deck on the back of the shop that overlooks almost the entire field, giving parents and spectators alike an excellent, safe view of the games as they play out. players can set up their gear in a large staging area surrounding the shop that contains plenty of covered picnic tables and outlets for charging devices, as well as powering large fans during the summer to keep players cool in between matches on hotter days. they also have a firing range, allowing players to test their replicas and properly tune their sights before matches. the field itself is thoughtfully constructed so that all types of players can utilize their specific loadouts to the best of their abilities. it provides players with (in my opinion) a cohesive and tactical layout consisting of various different buildings and containers of different sizes, as well as meaningful bits of cover sprinkled throughout and in between them that allows for long, medium, and CQB-range engagements. the staff also changes up the layout of the field every so often by moving containers/buildings and blocking/opening up doorways/windows, keeping the experience fresh for anyone looking to return to the field. game modes vary from classics like Team Death Match and Domination, to more creative and tactical game modes like Hostage, Capture the Flag, SEAL Team, and more. this variety means no two days of games will play out the same, once again keeping the experience fresh for all. staff does an excellent job at explaining the modes and their rules to players, and are always willing to answer any questions about the modes. Overall, CartCon1 provides one of the best, safest, and fairly priced airsoft experiences players can have, for both newcomers and veterans of the hobby alike."
