"This is my sons 1st year at LSE. We’ve had a really good experience. Teachers and leadership are very responsive and attentive to any questions or concerns. Very organized and keep parents informed on what’s going on at school, as well as, with my child. Zero tolerance for bullying."
"The only thing beneficial about the school is the academics, but there is a bad side to this school's academics. Homework takes about 1-3 hours to complete. Kids come home with extra work and more stress on their plate. The high school is unorganized as well. Some teachers at this school can be stricter than needed. They promised teachers are "more than willing" to help students. However, that's not what I see. For crying out loud, if I could give this school less than one star I could. The school is very unorganized, stressful, crammed full of people. The transportation is a little bit better than last year, however, it's still terrible. I also cannot comprehend why this school starts at 7:30 and ends at 3:30. That's literally 8 hours! On top of that, the buses bring kids home around 4:30/5:00, AND kids have a bunch of homework each day. My daughter has come home crying since the second week of school because of how much stressful this school can be. Not even that, the grading scale changed this year, and when I tell you the grading scale is ABSURD! I'm aware Lead had to change the grading scale due to the state board of education., which has made it harder to get good grades. This will absolutely be my daughter's last year at this "school.""
"If I could give less than a negative I would. My child whome is a Type 1 Diabetic attends this school. My child has severe systwms and at times it can be hard even as a single parent to care and keep up with her sugars. She also has developed a learning disability due to missing class so much at times because at a drop of a dime her sugar can either bottom out or go to 600 quickly. Well one morning she had been late due to her sugars and she had been threatened with detention. Just a few mins late. Then on top of that me child is crying upin me picking her up and states that she is and i quote "horrible in school". So as the parent I go in to address it and let me tell you...you never get to meet with the principle she calls you after 7:30pm to talk nor are you allowed to voice your concerns you may have. Now I the parwnt know that she needs a little more help in one subject but when you request a meeting no one calls you no one. They seem to text if that after 7:30 pm. But I have never heard from a teach yet. So by this time im just over how me as the parent cant be involved in my childs schooling and trying help her when she needs it as well as being judged by a school offical who is "suppose" to be there to help and correct these children when they need it. Now...my child does have a 504 federal plan in place as well as an IEP...whixh ia not being met by the school. So with my concerns im not allowed to visit the school? I have spoken to other parents as well who also have concerns and they are not being followed up with. So as a concerned parent im telling you from parent to parent Lead SouthEast is not the school for your child if you are hands on with your childs education and want to see your child succeed."
"Teachers are not certified and they will do anything to keep you to stay for sponsors. You'll get in trouble for every single thing unnecessary also if you want a school that actually cares about your children's opinions don't go here. A few good teachers lol 2-3 at most but that's it"
"Here is a review based on my child going to this school. As with anything, there are pros and cons to this school. The teachers seem to genuinely care about the students and want them to be successful. There are numerous members of the faculty that truly push the kids to be and do their best. This is a very good and positive thing nowadays. As far as academic standards go, this is a good school for advancement. However there are some negatives as well. The main one that stands out for me is the 6th grader last year that brought a pistol to school and threatened another student. I didn't find out till a few days after the incident which really pushed a wrong button with me.The transportation is bad. Bus might show up on time and then again might not show at all. There is at times an overly excessive amount of homework. It takes away from family time at night for not only the child to relax but for the parents also after working all day. Everybody has/had homework but sometimes 3-4 hours a night on top of whatever they're doing in school is overwhelming for the children and parents at times. The actual homework itself is somewhat disturbing at times. Indoctrination sounds like a harsh word yet it only best describes what It is. Homework about "allah" (which is it? religion in schools or not) and assignments on why girls are better than boys at school and so on. Maybe it's because of the common core curriculum in Tn. I do find it disheartening that your child can get detention for being late after 7:47 when academics and school technically doesn't start till 8 a.m. Even though the children aren't released from breakfast till almost 7:50. I fully agree there should be rules to provide our children with a good structure for life but it's a little excessive at times. They're kids NOT robots. Yet I digress. This is my review for any and all to help determine what's best for you and yours. I personally wish I could get them in private schools or at least to Williamson county schools but time will tell. Jesus has a plan and we're on his time."
