"Amazing service! We got to making changes for the better very quickly. Shelley was very nice and not super clinical like other psychiatrists"
"I have followed Shelley chamberlain to each new place she has moved to since 2014. I cannot say enough great things about Shelley and Open Minds. If anyone is searching for for a great provider that is also with a great establishment. OPEN Minds is the place. The front desk Justin is so helpful as well. Highly recommend Open Minds"
"I've been going here for a little bit now since moving to TN. I've been incredibly happy with my provider who is always kind and remembers me. She puts me at ease and makes me feel comfortable discussing whatever is going on. All my sessions have been virtual and they have gone smoothly. I definitely recommend, especially if you're continuing a long term treatment plan (as I am). I feel as though my mental health is a priority here."
"Wow. If I could leave 0 stars I would. I saw Shelley for around 6 months and never had an issue with her as a psychiatrist, but I had multiple issues with the front office staff and scheduling. Every time that I had a virtual appointment, it was communicated that I would receive a link, but I had to call the office every single time at my appointment time to request the link to be sent to me because it never was sent. Then, I had two appointments that were flat out scheduled for the incorrect time or day. A couple times I had an issue with getting my meds that are a controlled substance, and tried to communicate through email AND by calling the front office, only to never receive any call back to help me with my meds. I had to call this office over and over again to beg for help. Again since I never had a personal problem with Shelley, I decided to quietly leave her as a psychiatrist and start seeing someone else instead in January instead of reporting her or leaving negative reviews. However, I have now received a $417 bill for two appointments back in December 2022 and January 2023. When I called the office as to inquire what these invoices were for, Buffy rudely informed me that my insurance charged from my deductible instead of my copay. I cannot think of any reason that I would not be charged a copay for these two appointments when absolutely nothing about my insurance changed and I was only charged my copay for previous appointments. Buffy could not give me a reason either, and quite frankly, did not care about all about these invoices or how I would be affected by this. My interaction with Buffy today has confirmed for me that it was a good idea to leave, as they are clearly encouraging unethical practices for their employees and do not actually care about their patients’ mental health. I will be calling my insurance later today, so that they can deal with this incorrect billing situation. I will also be reporting this office to the American Psychiatric Association. I also asked Buffy to have Shelley herself give me a call and asked for a date and time which I can expect a call back since I am used to never getting calls back, and she could not give me a date and time which I should be called back by. Please, save yourself a headache and deal with a more professional psychiatrist, especially if you struggle with a condition like ADHD, where it is not reasonable to ask that patients should have to call the office multiple times to get an appointment fixed, a link sent, a med issue changed, or get a billing issue fixed. They will not help you or care."
"Shelley genuinely cares about her patients' mental health and well-being. I would recommend to anyone that is looking for a psychiatrist to go see her. She has greatly helped my family get through difficult times."
