"Ricky is the man! In fact this is a one-man show where he runs this amazing barber shop all by himself. Having worked at the Garfield/Palm location (about 1/4 mile away) for many years, Ricky announced in late-2021 as a new location finally opened its doors on New Year's Day 2022. Now that's a way to make a bold statement to the new year! The new location is directly on Garfield Ave. & just north of Auburn Blvd. in the Foothill Farms neighborhood of Sacramento whereas the previous location was right at the corner of Palm Ave. and Auburn Blvd. So it reality, this was only a move of about 1/4 mile away. After speaking with Ricky, he is actually paying less rent with bigger square footage. And from the moment I stepped into the new location, I was quite impressed. For the past 5-6 years, this has been my go-to spot for a quality, inexpensive haircut. Despite the pandemic combined with the sky high inflation, Ricky has been extremely generous in still offering an amazingly low $10 for a men's haircut. Especially when many barbers and hair salons start at nearly $20 for the same quality. This is enough reason why I have been getting my haircuts done with him every 3 weeks for the past 6 years. As I mentioned, the inside is bigger and better. For starters, he has a regulation sized billiard table, numerous sofas for waiting, a TV, and a public restroom. More often than not, I usually get in and out of here in under half an hour. Many of the regulars (including myself) already know Ricky well as you can usually talk to him about anything. He particularly enjoys fishing and taking trips to San Francisco. All in all, this updated review was a long time coming but now I am giving "Great Cut" a perfect five stars."
