"I am new to the area and was looking for a barbershop near my home. Found one by my sister’s house but that barber left as soon as I got there (almost ran me over too). Google helped me find this spot. I made a call just to ensure I could get cut that day, because I had family coming in from out of town. Barber named Kamera answered the phone and told me to come back at 3. The barbershop is easy to find, is located in a decent area, and there is plenty of parking. I went back at 3 and walked in, I saw 2 barbers in the standard variation of all black attire with their customers and another gentleman sitting in a barber chair. By the way he was dressed I thought he was just a friend of the shop (you know the dude who kick it at the barbershop to shoot the ish). To my surprise he was supposed to be my barber. First impressions are everything, especially in a service industry. He should definitely not come to work like he lounging at home. So that was an initial turn off, then walking closer I could see his eyes were glazed and red. Weed is legal, but you never know who you encounter. Like I don’t smoke weed nor do I like smelling it on my barber who is touching my head and face with no gloves. The smell was the second strike. I sit in his chair and get my Taper (which he definitely didn’t do right). After 30 minutes I get up and he is finished, I ask the price. Buddy says $50 for a TAPER. A haircut is a full service which $50 is a reasonable price point… but $50 for a taper was the last straw. If you made it this far in my review, don’t get in the Tall brothers chair. And if you see this review Kamera, tighten up. You are from San Diego and can represent the city better."
