"Amazing haircuts!! One of the few barbershops I trust for my haircuts. The staff is friendly and the price is more than reasonable for what you’re getting. Go here if you’re looking for good barbers who cut for a reasonable price."
"I permed my hair two months ago and decided to let my hair grow to see how I would look like. The sides and the back of my hair were getting too long and thick. The length of the sides was able to cover my ears, and I was able to tie a small ponytail on the back. I was like alright it's bugging me. I wanted to trim the sides and shorten my hair up front a little bit. I decided to give this place a try after doing some reviews. I walked in and it was not the owner whom customers complimented online, it was another lady. I knew this would go down south, so I explained as clearly as possible on how I wanted it. She started fading the sides and I checked. It seemed ok and to be a good start. Then I explained again that I just wanted my hair on top a tiny bit short. Nightmare came. She cut and trimmed my hair about at least 3 inches and completely changed my hair style. 90% of my permed hair was gone. I knew this would happen and I shouldn't have come. But it's too late. I let it go because I tried to look at the bright side and told myself I don't need a haircut in 3 to 4 months. So I let it go and it was okay to me. I didn't bother to really check my hair until this morning after washing it. The fade on the sides were uneven. The right side was a lot longer than the left and the hair was sticking out. I was pissed enough to trim the sides again by myself to make it even. I noticed she didn't even bother to look and check if the hair was even. she just kept on cutting and trimming. I was nice enough to say to her it looks okay at the moment. But once I found out the hair was uneven. It was not okay. The lady didn't follow my instruction and I felt like I wasted my money to perm my hair two months ago. One thing I could compliment on was the prices. I guess what you pay is what you get."
"I’ve been going here for four years, and I’ve had a perfect cut every time. I have biracial black textured hair and they do a good job of working with my hair texture for a short men’s cut, and you better believe that fade is crispy every time. They do well with photo samples for haircuts and all barbers here have excellent technical skill. They have done all kinds of cuts and styles for me. And they’re definitely LGBTQ friendly!!Never need an appointment and I’ve never had to wait more than 10 mins for a cut, and I’ve never paid more than $25 + tip. Cheaper if your haircut is simpler / no fade. Bring cash + tip well! This is truly the hidden gem of east bay barbers and they deserve more buisness!! I love y’all!"
"Moved from Florida to Oakland, I was not expecting haircut prices would be 40+ in downtown Oakland so I looked for somewhere else. I found this nice barber shop, at $25 the price feels more justified. I’ve cut my hair here 3 times with 2 different barbers and both times my skin fade was done perfectly. I would recommend it to all guys. FYI most of the barbers are Asian women and an Asian gentleman, but as someone who gets a haircut every two weeks these barbers know what they are doing just make sure to communicate with them."
"Lian (aka Lynn) has the front chair and is the owner of the shop. I really enjoyed her haircuts and as a API guy I like frequenting this Vietnamese business. I have moved to having the younger guy in the back chair (Tien) do my regular bald fade with the “hot line” (part). It probably doesn’t hurt that I’ve always tipped him $10 for a $25 haircut (most people tip him $5) as I appreciate his attention to detail. I get the impression he spends more time with me :-) which pays off for both of us because everybody comments on my haircut. This cut is even better than though $50 cuts I used to get. I think the trick is you have to take the time and get to know the barbers and keep coming back."
