"Closed forever? The sign said they are Open, but the door was locked, no one was working, and their phone was not answered. I visited there on Feb 21 and 22, 2024."
"Comically bad, unprofessional and incompetent service. Just about anything that could go wrong, did. The lady who assisted me (Carla?) was the only person there. There were no other stylists or customers, which should have been my 1st clue. The stylist didn't introduce herself, just rushed me over to wash my hair. She was extremely aggressive during shampooing, practically slapping my head around. I nearly got whiplash. Afterwards, she marched me over to her station and after I sat down, I explained that I wanted a long, layered bob, even showed her a picture. We talked about the length and I expressly said "just above my shoulders but under my chin." As she cut my hair, I said I needed a drink of water from my bottle and she barked at me "just hold it from now on." I attempted to make small talk but she wasn't having it. It was weirdly tense. So I sat there awkwardly holding my bottle for the duration of the cut. She moved around me impatiently while making a sniffing sound and I thought "is she coked up?!" When she was done, she said that if I wanted my sopping wet head blow dried, she'd have to charge an extra $20. I LOL'd and said "no thanks." But she decided on her own that she didn't want me walking around like that and started blow drying it anyway. When all was said and done and I got the big reveal, I wish I could say I was shocked to see I didn't get the cut I'd asked for. Instead, I got a very short and choppy bob, to ear level. I like Andy Warhol but don't want to look like him! I tried to pay with a card but their reader wasn't working so I had to go to Trader Joe's nearby and get cash back on a purchase to give to her. It's interesting in hindsight that I didn't get a receipt meaning the whole transaction could be off the books. $40 + tip for a bad haircut. And she didn't even do the customary thing where she gives me her card with her name on it. The salon looks barren and run down, with all the charm of the DMV. Please, go anywhere else but here."
"Haircut was ok, it was just a trim. The stylist, however, was extremely rude and insulted me. It’s odd because I don’t believe she was actually trying to be rude, she just doesn’t have manners. And she was practically drooling over a male client who was being seen by the other stylist. It was odd at best. Still tipped but would not return to this location."
"Horrible hair cut. Why would you hire staff who does not know how to cut hair properly?? What a desperate looking place and service. It is shameful. Never again! The owner and the manager of this salon should be mortified for the work and the level of service they offer."
"I just had to get a cut and just stopped here randomly. Lucky me! I got a really great cut and I wasn't overcharged. My stylist listened to what I liked and didn't like. She really listened! I'm very satisfied and, when I go back, I hope I get her again. Now I wish I could remember her name!"
