"I’ve been coming to Jessica since maybe 2007. …which is a crazy long time but I can’t imagine going anywhere else. I’ve found her at a shop in Rockridge, followed her to a salon in Temescal and now come to her new, private hair studio on Piedmont Ave.! I’m committed. The new shop is spacious, and affords comfort to customers that arrive early or need to wait a few minutes for their appointment to begin. Jessica has worked with my hair in several different ways- the most recent being Curly by Curl Cut developed by Loraine Massey (Google it;) Jessica trained with Loraine Massey in NY and is always on top of the latest. Jessica takes strands of curls and cuts my hair dry, leaving my hair well shaped and bouncy. We always finish with a wash, conditioner and set. I recently got a lipid rinse and now my hair is beyond hydrated; this should last 3-4 weeks. Lastly, I’ve gotten a lot of good info on products when I inquire. I’m committed to being sulfate-free and using only stuff that helps my hair- not hurt it. Jessica is careful about recommendations and can provide suggestions that run a spectrum of cost, which is appreciated. I’m currently obsessed with OWay and Long Hair Don’t Care. All products that she loves and did not earn money off the recommendation. She just believes in the eco mindful packaging, low carbon foot print and great ingredients. I highly recommend 10/10."
