"I’ve been a customer (and big fan) of TanyaMia’s for over a decade now. I’ve got that semi-frizzy, sometimes-wavy hair that can look dull and shapeless- but she knows how to cut (dry cut, brings out the wave and makes my hair look fuller). EVERY time it’s a quality cut, that lasts months and still looks fresh. Her skill with color/highlights gets me many compliments! Two more reasons I love her: she won’t cut your long hair any shorter than you request, and never insists on ‘blowing out’ the final result- something I can’t stand w other hair salons as I despise blowdryers. She’s very excellent and knows how to make your hair look it’s best!"

"I’m a curly haired 3c middle eastern girl. I’ve had my fair share of bad haircuts but I’m telling you run don’t walk to Tanya Mia. I first went to her in 2013. Have since moved to NYC in 2020 and tried a bunch of the *expensive* curly haired salons there. They truly don’t compare to Tanya’s haircuts. Not only is my hair interesting (asymmetric curly hair bob anyone?) but it grows out beautifully. I’ve now taken my mom and sister to her. She’s fairly priced, one woman show and does beautiful hair. Remember it’s cash only and she cuts your hair dry. Go. You won’t regret it. She really is the best!"

Tanya is so patient in understanding what hairstyles my daughter might want, and taking through various options. And she’s been cutting and coloring my wife’s hair for a decade. She always comes home super happy with her haircut."
