"Racist owner/manager. I was a walk in, simply wanted a wash for my hair since my shower/ bath went on the brinks this weekend, so no ability to wash my hair for a meeting and work next day. Firstly, there were 2 other stylists who ignored me altogether and were indifferent. Not even a Hello/ Konichiwa, whatever. Lazy, non customer oriented , totally ignored me. NO ZEN atmosphere here. Finally, the owner dismissed me and indicated they're closed etc, etc. ..despite their doors were opened AND the posted sign and website advertised something different which indicated closing time was 5 pm. It was 1:18 pm . Horrible establishment! It's too bad since per the reviews, it was supposed to be a nice place. On the contrary, it was quite nondescript , dark and uninviting . I arrived from skiing wearing my Jackson Hole cap in my Porsche parked outside...I guess my money and ethnicity doesn't count here. I'd boycott this place immediately as they cowtow to their own race apparently or if you're Caucasian, I guess you have immunity and owner will provide services. Finally, I'd grade it negative 5 stars!"

"First off, this is a Japanese hair salon. Other nationalities get their hair did there. But the staff is Japanese. It is a super calm, clean and peaceful place. I'm a white attorney in my 40s so quiet is not really my forté. I walk in and don't say a word and I feel like I'm the loudest one there. My girlfriend, Etsuko, is the general manager and head stylist. She's not really my girlfriend. I couldn't be so lucky. She has techniques that I've never seen anyone employ. She loves her job, her salon and her clients. I will give up almost all I have before I give up my special time with Etsuko."
