Shine Dental: Swapna Raveendranath, DDS

"Not sure how this happened, because they seem so professional on the outside. Was called for a 9am appointment with the other male doctor who comes once a month, so I showed up for the 9 am that day but his attitude was completely lacking in competency. After an hours wait I was told he did not have the tools for the extraction needed! ( they had already taken xrays of the tooth prior to appointment so were aware of the procedure required beforehand, so how come??) Finally they asked me to leave and come back next month because thats when he is available...and no follow through by Swapna (owner, who wasn't there that morning)...its Disneyland or rather Wiily Wonka Chocolate Factory here, anything can happen I guess."

"I had a great visit at shine dental today. Dr. Swapna did such a great care of my dental teeth today that I was impressed with her care and professional work. I would go back again because she and the assistant was so great. And they make you feel ok in the chair. Thank you shine Dental!"

"I rate 3 stars because the Doctor who works with Dr. Swapna, is a total quickie and he does not take his time and lacks precision. Moreover, the appointment is at 10:00 but he shows up at 11:00 (struggling with previous patient) And on top of that, you ask him to do a specific procedure (to resolve your problem); he insists in doing "total cleaning" or some other irrelevant procedure which doesn't even help to resolve ur existing problem. Finally after the filling procedure, I felt a bad pain in my lower jaw for 2-3 days (couldn't bite, eat or chew) as he was in hurry and injected the lidocaine forcefully and did not attempt to be gentle with it. Please don't get me wrong, I had gotten injected for lidocaine numbness multiple times but this guy was so harsh. And with his usage of hand-piece, I was noticing my head was also moving due to him working extremely fast. I had pain and sensitivity with my tooth too but let's be fair it is natural for newly-filled teeth. Dr. Swapna! if you are reading this please do something about it. If it was you, I'd have rated 5 stars but this guy was to ungentle & unpercise !"

"Friendly and welcoming. The doctor was very informative, showed and explained my X-rays and best treatment possible. Only Con is office is short staffed and it may take awhile from the time you get there to get in the dental chair."

"It was my second visit to this dental office. Dr. Swapna perform exam. She is knowledgeable and friendly. Answer all my questions and gave good advices. Her young assistant did x-ray virtuously.
