"Edit: As of January 18th, 6 months since leaving Waterford, I am still getting emails of their team opening maintenance requests. I stopped trying with maintenance requests months before I even moved out. This apartment is so shameful. Now that I’ve been told it’s likely I’m not getting my security deposit back, let me tell you what it was like living at Waterford Place. Save yourself and stay far, far away from this place, and likely any apartment run by Portico Management as well. We moved into a unit(mind you, they tried their absolute hardest to push back our agreed upon move in date) that was water and fire damaged, soot on the ceilings, pitch black vents, moldy walls and floors. The wood lining around the front door was completely waterlogged and swelled beyond recognization. We were promised maintenance would still be doing move in work on our unit as we moved in. They never ever came. Our maintenance requests were ignored. We had no working bath for three months. Our AC was never fixed, the entire year. It took over a month just to get a washer and dryer moved into the unit. We lived next to the maintenance guy at the time, we’d see him smoking weed and walking his dog while he was supposed to be working. We could not breathe in this unit. I woke up the entire year with a stopped up nose, and even blew mold particles when I blew my nose at certain points of winter. They have every kind of cockroach you could imagine crawling outside. Not to mention when it was cicada season, literal hundreds crawled out of the grounds and molted against our apartments. This was the dirtiest, most poorly run place I know I will have ever lived in. Maintenance and management were an absolute joke, I wouldn’t let my worst enemy live here. I tried to be empathetic and understanding to the ever changing employees and how they could not catch up on work. However, being told you’re not getting your deposit back after tirelessly cleaning a near uninhabitable apartment, it puts a bad taste in your mouth. I hope the new management is able to make this right, for me and countless others I know are dealing with the same issues, but in the meantime, shame on you."

"I love it here! Jeremiah and his team are awesome. They constantly went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and welcome. They ensured that any issues were quickly addressed. I felt right at home!!"

"Where do I begin? We signed a lease to move in on 8/5. We received a call the DAY BEFORE we were supposed to move in asking if we could be flexible with move in. We could not due to previous leases ending. We were moved into a unit that was not cleaned, missing doors, a broken fridge, boards caved in on the ent walkway, a broken toilet, and not up to par. It has now been almost TWO MONTHS and only the front walkway has been fixed. The broken fridge, toilet, missing doors are all STILL not fixed. They have attempted ti charge us random or “miscellaneous” fees, nothing gets fixed ina timely manner because they are so backlogged due to mismanagement, and now our laundry room is flooded. A maintenance request was filed but was not handled in a timely manner and now the laundry room is unusable, causing us to have to go to a laundromat. Awesome!!!!!! Avoid this place like the plague."

"If less than one star was an option… This place is literally awful. My friends and I moved In in December and we’ve had problems from the beginning. The apartment we were shown was so nice and new, we were so excited. The lady, her name was Shelby, was so nice and cool, it was everything we wanted. Our parents and family helped us move in and were so happy for us. Ever since, we have had so many Maintenance issues and NOT A SOUL WILL RESPOND. Our DRYER AND ONE OF OUR SHOWERS HAS BEEN BROKEN FOR THREE WEEKS. Doing everything the right way, emailing, calling, leaving voicemails, requests on the portal…. All we would get in return is “request has been closed” WHEN NO ONE HAS CONTACTED BACK. We have been nothing but nice and understanding. I’m so fed up at this point, this is just ridiculous."
