DAVID'S HAIR STUDIO

"David is a really nice guy but not a great barber. The “studio” is basically a living room converted, it doesn’t feel very clean, and there was no ventilation so felt stuffy and unhygienic. I have really short hair (like crew cut short), and was looking to clean my fade and trim the top. His tools are old and got hot really fast against my scalp. When he was done, i noticed he only cleaned my sideburns on one side and my bangs were slightly lopsided and the fade wasn’t very clean. I didn’t say anything because he seemed anxious to get to the next customer who was waiting for 15 min and I figured I could fix it easily myself. But after I got home, my partner saw the backside of head and noticed a big tuft of hair sticking out the top. He basically didn’t finish the fade in the back so there was this abrupt transition from short to long hair. Also, I should have been charged men’s cut which is $21 versus women’s $26 because my hair is SHORT. But after he finished, he asks me “you’re a women right…?” To which I said yes, so he charged me $26. This traditional and outdated gender imbalance in the hair cutting world is so disappointing."

"One man operation. He's very friendly n talkative. First time I went I wasn't too happy with the outcome. Make sure he understands exactly what you want. This time around I have no complaints. He's in my neighborhood n easy to get to so I will be a regular. I feel the price is a little high for what I get considering my hair is very short. $26.00 for a trim only."

"Very professional and seasoned hair stylist! Was kind, responsive, and thorough with my hair. Has wonderful stories to tell, and I was out in under 40 minutes. Not to mention the price is great! Only $21 for a women’s haircut, and my hair is very long. I was able to schedule my appointment same day. David accepts cash and Zelle payments. Thanks so much David!!"

"I did not have the same experience as others. It seems like David really specializes in short hair, because I went in to get a trim/shaped up and my cut was super uneven. I didn’t realize it until I got home and my hair dried. For reference, my hair goes down to about war length. I’m now having to find another place to fix it up and spend more money. If you have short hair and like fades, this seems to be a good spot otherwise try somewhere else."

After a few cuts I see that this guy can’t miss, he makes me look good every time. I have a suspicion that David is in the witness protection program and he’s secretly the best barber in the world, because there’s no reason that haircuts this good should be this cheap and low key."
