"It has been a few months since the conclusion of my Invisalign treatment, and to be honest, I don't like it. Recommendation: - consider braces - if you do get Invisalign, I strongly advise against getting attachments - consider another doctor Results: - gum recession, up to 0.5-1mm on some teeth - attachment glue is left over on my teeth because they apparently can't just easily remove it (requires scraping it off or polishing it off). My dentist has complained a couple of times about my teeth being rougher and therefore more prone to plaque etc. - uncomfortable bite; my back teeth don't touch each other, my front teeth don't align well (issues I didn't have prior to treatment) Process: - I found Invisalign very intrusive into my life, to be honest. I had headaches, difficulty concentrating, and lethargy. It affected my job performance, and my general QOL as well. - Attachments were horrible. They look like tumors on your teeth and they become yellow. I've literally never in my life been uncomfortable by my smile until this. - It took over a year, despite being recommended "Invisalign Lite" with an estimate of 6-8 months for the treatment duration. - Dr. Yoon does not communicate well, or understand the patient's desires well, and just kind of does her own thing. - Once you start treatment, you can't really stop, because (at least with Dr. Yoon's treatment) it gets worse before it gets better. She flared out my top front teeth in the middle of the treatment before bringing them back again (further inward than they started). This was unnecessary, painful, and this extraneous movement can't possibly be beneficial for my teeth. TLDR; Invisalign with Dr. Yoon was an enormous and stressful commitment of time for a poor result."

"She is the best orthodontist I have ever met in my life! I had my first encounter with Dr Yoon in November 2020 due to moderate sleep apnea. I first had met Dr. Stanley Liu at Stanford Healthcare for MMA surgery for my sleep apnea, and orthodontic treatment was required by Dr Liu to prepare for the surgery. Dr. Liu was the one who referred me to see Dr. Yoon for orthodontic treatment as she is also specialized in sleep apnea orthodontics. She planned everything meticulously, and I was able to get the surgery on Dec 27, 2021. After the surgery, not only was my sleep apnea totally remitted, my look also improved dramatically, and my voice improved as well! I could hit higher note when I belt. She is also one of the kindest doctors I've met in my life. She is very knowledgeable!"
