"I have been coming here for many years. It is very convenient for the Rockridge neighborhood. I can walk there which is what I prefer but you can walk from Rockridge Bart or there is easy residential street parking around the area. In the beginning, they would offer wine or other drinks but I never excepted it so I don’t know if they still do that or not. During Covid times they were strict regulations. Luckily now things are back to normal. There’s a sign to ring the bell once you arrive and somebody will let you into the lobby. Usually there is a short wait for the cleaning to begin. You get x-rays if you haven’t had them for a year or so then. Then the poking, scraping, brushing and flossing, while you can watch the TV on the ceiling, or bring your own headphones to listen to something else. After the cleaning you go into another chair and the dentist comes to check on everything. If you need special services, you go into the front area and get to that service done to check out, you go back to the receptionist and pay and schedule your next cleaning in six months. They do send a lot of reminders, postcards and phone calls. I do not prefer phone calls as it’s no longer 1992 and I have everything on my Google calendar. All the staff members are friendly and it’s a nice clean location for boutique dentistry. They offer you a goodie bag to take home afterwards. I usually just ask for the toothpaste as it’s good for travel"

I had a very comfortable dental cleaning and thorough exam with a detailed explanation of my needs. The front desk did a great job helping me with insurance benefits and scheduling. "The folks at Dr. Koida's office are AMAZING! The whole staff seem to genuinely enjoy their work, and each other. I hadn't needed any semi-serious dental work in years, and found that from start to finish, everyone has been incredibly friendly and welcoming, clearly explaining everything they needed to do, and answering any questions I had. They remember you, too! This office is particularly good at working with dental anxiety, and they will make you comfortable in every way possible. They even have an in-house dental plan if you don't have insurance. We've referred a few friends, and each one has had a great experience."

She does excellent, meticulous work and I've referred all of my friends & family to her practice as well. She also has excellent chair-side manner!
