"Should be called Scammark at Wynton Pointe. Slumlord’s paradise. Flood of fake 5 star reviews from Shantell Hilliard's friends who was fired. Cars get broken into here because the gate never works. Abandoned cars litter the lots. You get charged for a “pest control service” (which never actually do anything, see rats and roaches on other reviews), “valet trash” (which come once a week, maybe twice if you’re fortunate), and so on. You’ll hear car alarms go off and random yelling and crying at late hours. Not safe. About the amenities. The pool will never be open. It's actually green. You'd think Shrek would rise out of it if you see it. Advertised laundry facilities don't work. The fitness center is not 24/7 as advertised and there is no intention to return to that access. The management is non-existent. No improvements to amenities that are perpetually closed or non-functioning. They put up cosmetic banners outside the complex before fixing their gate, fitness center access, laundry facilities, or their constant valet trash scam. There's trash everywhere as a result. Fire alarms continuously go off, not only affecting sleep but also is a major safety concern."
"This is the worst experience I have ever had as a renter and I have been renting for twelve years. If you are thinking about moving into this community, don’t do it. Move anywhere else. A mud hut would be better. I have been paying for services I do not receive for two years. I am forced to pay for pest control and trash pickup I do not receive. Valet trash has never picked up my trash and the criminally negligent management company will not make them. I have had roaches in my kitchen for about three months. No pest control. As well it is impossible to reach RPM living by phone or email. These apartments have changed management companies 5 times in the past 2 years. No one knows what is going on. Half of the apartments are empty. I am assuming that they are empty because, like me, former tenants found living here to be a nightmare. About a year ago the old management company tried to force me to pay a second pet deposit because they didn’t have a record of the first deposit I paid when I moved in. Luckily I had kept my own records. This seemed especially stupid because I pay a monthly pet fee and always have. A few days ago I was forced to call 911 because something in my apartment caught fire. There was so much smoke I could not see. The maintenance guy came and said he “couldn’t find anything wrong.” Move into this community if you want to be robbed and live somewhere that might burn down at any time. Edited to add: The slumlord leasing office forced me to pay an additional ten days of rent when I will not be under a lease contract “because their software isn’t capable of adjusting the move out date.” I presented to the leasing office three days in a row attempting to get some answers about why their online system would only allow my to pay a full month’s rent when I am moving out in the middle of the month. RPM living stated it is their normal business practice to collect a full month of rent no matter when the tenant is moving out, and they then issue a refund. This is the most obvious scam to steal money from tenants I have ever seen in my life. Absolutely criminal."
"My friend passed away in his unit here. Afterwards, the office was difficult and insensitive while his family attempted to collect his belongings. They repeatedly refused them entry to his unit, threatened to dump all of his belongings on the curb, and apparently even sued his "estate" for rent money. I lived here for 2 years and have nothing good to say. These apartments are old, rundown, and insanely overpriced. You could quite literally live anywhere else in the city and get a better price/location/unit. They went through 3 or 4 management teams in my two years. Every time they switched management it only got worse. Prices were reasonably low when I moved in. After a year, my rent went up $200/month. The next year, they raised my rent more, but I submitted my notice to vacate and they listed my unit for LESS than I was paying (and obviously much less than my renewal offer). The last management change took place in September 2023 - residents were not notified, no introduction was made. We got an email stating that our resident portal had been shut down with no explanation or further instruction. All management contact info was changed - again, we weren't notified. The first time I spoke with the newest manager, I didn't even know our management team was new - I called with an issue and the new manager didn't introduce herself, was rude, and talked over me the whole time. Up until now, I could've at least said the leasing staff was generally friendly, even if they weren't helpful. They "misquoted" my final month's pro-rated rent and refused to honor the original number they gave me, even though they admitted their mistake, gave me that number TWICE in writing, and I submitted proof to them. This was a $300 difference. Right before my lease ended, maintenance entered my apartment, without permission and without notifying me, and released cans of bug fogger - when I returned home, the apartment was covered in dead bugs. I had to go to the office to find out what happened. Leasing team never answers the phone and most of the phone numbers listed online aren't accurate. There are dozens of vacant units at any given time. I had nonstop issues with bugs and maintenance. Pest control seemed to have no effect. My balcony storage closet was covered in mold, which they just painted over. On multiple occasions, maintenance issues took weeks to be repaired. Drains regularly clog. Our gate is always open. Several residents let their dogs roam off leash. IF the pools are open, they are green and slimy, but the pools were closed all year. We once went two months without valet trash service (that we are required to pay $25/month for). Trash is regularly piled in the parking lot and overflowing from the dumpster. I scheduled my final walk through weeks in advance -when I showed up, they were in a training session and made me wait an hour for them to finish so I could be present for the walk through. I took off work and drove 45 minutes to be there. They also did not provide me with the full move out packet/instructions until AFTER my walk through, after I signed everything and turned in my keys, despite the fact that I'd asked what needed to be done for move out twice prior to the end of my lease. Horrific experience; live anywhere else."
"If you are looking for a place to live I would recommend looking down bell road as many complexes have newly renovated. As for this complex. When they changed to a new property management company I literally went through HELL! There is 100% an infestation at this complex...my unit bug problem was spiders!!! Pest control "took care of it" but they were there throughout my lease. The people in the leasing office used to be so friendly and welcoming and now they are disrespectful and rude. As I was talking to one leasing agent, they literally bad mouthed about the employee in the front office. The gate never really closed and when were having bad weather they ziptied and put a big lock on the back gate even though they sent out notices about opening the back gate during that time. The pool was barely ever opened and when it was it looked nasty. The dog grooming station is junky and does not work. Overall these people will take your money and torture you. I even had to leave my dog out of his cage because someone from their staff was letting themselves in my apartment without notice. I spoke to a lady In the leasing office and nothing was done about this except a notice being sent out about our animals. I know they will leave a comment under this review which I will 100% not read but please do you and your family a favor and do NOT even look at their website. Because once you sign that lease, you'll instantly regret it after 1 week. The new company I believe is Knockout rentals! Be cautious because even the ppl they hire are shady !!"
"DO NOT MOVE HERE! I have had a brown recluse infestation for the entirety of my time living here (since January 2023) that only got worse after my apartment had a flooding issue and no one every came to do repairs. I catch at least 5 a day in my sticky traps, I spray weekly all doors, windows, baseboards, etc. And on top of all of that, my car was stolen right in front of my apartment and probably never would have been stolen if the security gate that is ALWAYS BROKEN worked. I have called countless times and no one ever picks up and there is no way to leave a voicemail. I have left notes in my apartment when they do inspections requesting that they call and they never do. I would break my lease in a heartbeat if I could afford to."
