"I’ve been a customer for years now. Linda was one of my first stylists here. I’ve coined the term “Linda Take the Wheel,” as she always knows what to do with my hair before I even know what I want to do with my hair. Later on, I also started going with Noelle who’s also wonderful. I’ve never left the salon leaving disappointed because of these wonderful ladies! I enjoy the conversations with them and the assistants. Everyone here is nice and accommodating. The salon is big with high ceilings and cute decorations. They definitely upgraded since their prior location! They offer you all kinds of drinks such as tea, coffee, soda, wine, champagne, etc. Their hair wash room has several chairs and the ambience in there is super calming with low light and calming music. The only thing is that the salon is located on 5th ave in Hillcrest which is a pain for parking unfortunately, but this is not the salon’s fault. I end up having to pay $20 at the parking garage since my appointments are a little more than 3 hours long. There’s also paid street parking if you can get lucky. Overall, I love this salon and will continue to come back!"

He is great at listening to what outcome I’m looking for and I find his knowledge and expertise very assuring. Whether it’s a simple trim or complicated color project, the outcome is never less than stellar and the compliments I get for my hair keep me coming back time and again. Walking in to the salon, is always a wonderful experience especially the Zen Den and complimentary drinks. The team here is so friendly and helpful and has the best vibes!"

"This is the one salon that I have made a regular one and can’t stop going to. Liz and Henry are the nicest owners and all the stylists are great (had a pleasure interacting with Tierra and Wendy). Michael has been the best hair stylist and is so talented and easy going and fun to talk to. He does such a fantastic job with my cuts and did a great balayage as well (I’m picky and always nervous about coloring my hair but this turned out awesome). Very reasonable prices too. Free adult beverages too! It’s always a treat to come here :)"

"What do you do when you have had a “Hair Wizard” as your previous hairdresser in a galaxy far, far away (New England) but you are desperate for a change in hair status??? ~You super research salons, (after trying recommended ones that were a bust!) ~and pick one and hope for The Best! Well then! I won the Billionaire Hair Lottery!! I seriously cannot say enough about my experience at Salon Ink. From start to finish, I was treated with genuine courtesy and LISTENED to! I am an assertive person, so I am big in stating EXACTLY what I want, including with pictures, and even so, I have tried other SD salons recommended by others and came away frustrated at the “interpretation” of my requests! I was delighted to get exactly what I asked for: a large rod body wave that looks wonderful!! The pic shows results from poker straight hair to this! So yay! to the results being exactly what I asked for, ~but the experience of my time there is what nailed the five stars! The Salon is Cavernous and well appointed! with lots of room to breathe and relax…The Zen Den is genius and should be standard at every salon. Zen Den gives you a mini Spa experience before your hair service! (Will not say more to entice you to check it out!) Lastly the Value for Service Quotient was unequaled in my SD Salon Experience! I am truly grateful for a Salon that has hair and beauty experts that are down to earth, happy, charming and take their client connection seriously, without charging the equivalence of an SD mortgage payment for services! I also appreciated the low key approach to recommending products. I have super healthy hair and do not require much in hair products, but I am happy to buy great products when the Salon Service is equitably priced! If you are looking for a great experience in hair and nail service, look no further! If you are thinking body wave/perm, Henry is your guy! I highly recommend the Kevin .Murphy product line! It is working great to keep my body wave volumized and soft! **Just so you know, services are secured by Bank Card deposit upon appt. If you cancel same day, you will be charged the deposit, and I totally agree with this stipulation of service! This is getting to be standard at all reputable salons. If you are not committed to following through on your first time salón service appts. that is totally disrespectful of the Salon as a business serving YOU, and disrespectful of the hairdresser who now has an empty spot. No matter, once you try Salon Ink, you will always cancel appropriately if need be, ~because they show you they care, ~you will show them you care!"
