Cumberland Ridge Apartments

"Living here has been the worst experience we have encountered while renting. They are completely disorganized, half the employees do not know what they are talking about and we went through hell with appliances constantly going out. We moved in September 2022. Over the course of the year EVERY SINGLE major appliance went out. We even had a breaker melt in the breaker box because it was too small and despite mentioning this it was never replaced with the correct size breaker. The building we were in (building 100) is a fire hazard waiting to happen. When our fridge went out we were out of town. We lost all our food. Cooperate was only willing to give us a $50 credit on next months rent. They then replaced the fridge with another broken fridge that had to be replaced a few months later. Come November our heater kept going out constantly. We mentioned several times that there was probably a wiring issue in that unit and that’s why things kept going out and catching on fire. Nothing was done until 3 weeks later (we were without heat for 2 days because no one would answer their phones. I called well over 20 times. They never answer their phones regardless though.) they finally brought an HVAC guy out who was clueless because no one in the office explained the issue to him. It was never fixed and went out again a few days later. David was the only person in that office who was somewhat easy to work with with. Lea and tanera were rude and there was no communication with them and David with our situation so we would get threats of eviction despite the fact we had discussed our situation with David and a payment plan was in the works. We ended up having to break our lease because I had a major medical emergency and needed to move close to family. We were willing to pay the 60 days and the $2000 broken lease fee and signed the papers to move forward. The ladies in the office were still sending eviction notices and when I called today to let them know we were not being evicted that we left after discussing things with David I was yelled at by Lea because she swore she knew it all and that we were still considered evicted which was incorrect. I have heard other neighbors complain about this place constantly and pretty much our whole building had either chosen to break their leases or not renew due to the horrible management at Cumberland ridge and the fact people are paying $1200-$1500 a month to live at a place with old appliances, no emergency line and workers who would rather argue then help their tenants or god forbid answer the phone. I would avoid this place at all costs. Sadly it seems apartments in general are treating tenants like this and have no sympathy for those who are struggling to get by. Find a private renter if you can. I truly hope this place gets it together someday because the area is nice and quiet, but it’s not worth dealing with what we have."

"Trash company that made me pay to break my lease when going on a deployment because “my girlfriend could stay there” when we only lived here for 3 months and she knew no one yet. They also refused to refund me when they pulled rent and the fees to break the lease out on the first of the month because I had autopay setup. The early termination fee was supposed to come out in the 30th. Overall just trash service with people that do not care about you"

"Hello Im lisa, I came to visit 8/11/23. Your place is beautiful and amazing. I'm moving from Chattanooga back to be closer to family . So on the day I visited Cumberland ridge. The doors were locked I waited around an hour .but needed to leave .I have tried every way to get intouch with anyone.... Thank you so much Lisa"

"This place has the most ridiculous rules, I wouldn’t recommend this place unless you want to be treated like a child. Can’t have ANYTHING on the balcony except a chair. Not a trash can or anything else can be there. Also don’t recommend if you have an outside cat, they don’t allow cats to go outside freely, have to be walked on a leash, it’s just a cat she can’t hurt anything! When have you ever seen a cat on a leash? Never. Me and my fur baby can’t wait to leave here!"

"Beautiful place to live, especially for pet friendly families. There’s lots of space indoors for your small pets to have plenty of room as well as two large grass areas that are perfect for playing fetch. The staff is very professional and will work with you on any issues that arise. Maintenance does a great job about getting things fixed within the week."
