"First of all, I deeply love the shopping environment of Row DTLA, it is quiet and spacious. Secondly, I am very satisfied with Powder Beauty’s attentive service. Every time staff will carefully ask my requests, patiently help me remove dead skin, and pull out the nails embedded in the flesh. I often bite my nails crazily while writing research papers, and the staff will share with me some Organic ways to release my pressure. "I had a "rubber" manicure. Within a day, my middle was off and the other middle and index fingers were chipped. And the owner used a drill to remove my gel manicure during my appointment! She insisted, even after I begged her not to use it. I felt uncomfortable, but was unable to cancel the pedicure. She charged for everything, including $8 to make a tiny glue fix to my broken nail. Never step foot in this place."

I'm picky and have trust issues from previous manicure injuries, but she's so meticulous about shaping your nails and gentle with your cuticles. She's also kind, patient, and easy to talk to! "the place was cool and the girls working there were nice enough. but my gel polish french tip started chipping as soon as i got home. it was end of day and they started late on me since someone had walked in and got ahead of my appointment. by the next day (24 hours later) multiple fingers gel had come off. also i had reserved a full gel set and didnt know i would be upcharged for the tip color. not only that i had asked for one thing and she did it her own way. i wanted a super thick tip like more tip than nail natural color but she did a slim tip instead. i know i should have told her to do it the way i originally requested but i had already been peer pressured by another woman there to do my toes at the same time even though i has already re-scheduled my toes that by then i was just hoping she would do a good job and i could go home. unfortunately i was so dissatisfied and my toes also chipped by the next day. 130 bucks later and i will never go back. so disappointed.
