"I've been a patient of Dr Phillips for about 17 years. When I first started going I was very traumatized from my childhood dental experiences from previous masochistic dentists (think Little shop of horror with Steve Martin) Dr. Phillips took his time with me to make sure that I started to breathe properly during my appointments and to make sure that each time that I came to see him he explained everything that he would need to do as far as cleanings, x-rays, crowns from a broken tooth and how to floss properly. He explained how those appointments would go versus having to do a random procedure. Going to the dentist before was scary for me. Dr. Phillips let me be able to decide when I was ready to come in for a certain procedures and also figure out how much insurance would pay and I would as opposed to just having to do it because I was in thriving pain with no other options. Everyone from the front desk to the hygienist are very welcoming and made me feel like going to a friend's house instead of a stale sterile dental office. I have referred many of my USC colleagues to him and even though I now live in LA I don't mind driving to Long Beach 2x a year to keep up with my preventative care. He is the only dentist that I trust to work on my teeth."
