"I wasn’t pleased with my experience at Smiles at all. I felt that the dentist was rushing to the point that the job she did half done. I was being sprayed with the water and half the time I had to wipe my face myself. I really don’t want to go back there again. I don’t like to give negative reviews but it was so bad that I felt that I had to."
"Very clean and friendly but in the end, although I was told by the dentist that I had no cavities and I was taking good care of my teeth, I was consulted by an admin or receptionist that I had gum disease. To resolve it, after my insurance, they wanted to put me on a plan to pay over $2900+ to have my ‘gum disease’ taken care off…I was shocked and thrown off. I do take care of my teeth, like the dentist complimented me on and I m the end I just felt like they wanted to milk me for services. As mentioned, very clean and very nice but after that they seem to be a place with concerns of getting their patient in debt to them then taking care of patients. Saddest part was I read a similar review on them about what I would experience but went anyways to give them a chance…I should have trusted the review as I am in the hunt for a new local dentist that’s not looking to gauge me."
"My first visit was two years ago. I had a filling done. The filling caused further dental complications. The filling was done so close to my root, It either caused trauma to the root or left bacteria behind which infected the root (I recently learned this from an endodontist who is a friend and looked at my x-rays free of charge). I was told I should have had a root canal. Now two years later, I have a severe infection in the tooth. I went back to this dentist (before learning from my friend what I stated above). After x-rays, I was told that paperwork will be submitted to my insurance company for approval of a root canal and in the meantime to make an appointment with the endodontist that they referred. When I reached out to the endodontist, I was told it would take up to 6 weeks for my insurance to approve the root canal- I was mortified because of the pain I was in but eventually with prolonged use of antibiotics, the swelling went down and so did the pain but the infection remained. Now, tooth infections can be dangerous. They can spread to your brain and the longer you have the infection the more bone it eats, giving the tooth less of a chance of recovering after the root canal. I wanted to save my tooth rather than extract it and pay 5 grand out of pocket for an implant (which is what is in the insurance company’s and dentists best interest). When it came time for my appointment 6 weeks later, I was told that my paperwork was never submitted!! Now, I was told by this dentist to my face it would be submitted and we joked about making it look convincing AND I cried on the phone with the receptionist here when I was told how long it would take to be approved. To finally get to my appointment with the endodontist and find out they never submitted it, all I could do was laugh at how ridiculous it was. There are a few other big mistakes this establishment made which I won’t mention because this review is already lengthy but IN SHORT - their mistake caused an infection. - their mistake and lack of thorough communication caused me to be in prolonged pain and to have an infection for 3 months after my initial appointment with them. Because of that I feel this establishment does not truly care for their clients well being, they lack professionalism and education. I will state that at their sister company in Compton I had a better experience and the communication was very thorough."
"Well this was the fourth dentist this year. I was very pleased the staff was so friendly and the dentist Blanco was so nice and explained everything. I will continue to see him. The other three dentist offices need work the receptionist were rude as I watched how they treated others."
"My appointment was at 4pm. I was at the office by 4 pm.but I got on visit room by 4:45 pm. The dentist visited me by 5:30 and just ordered some body to polish my teeth. And when I asked why I didn't have any body to clean my teeth. They told me the person was responsible, did not show up and I had to make another appointment for cleaning. I just wasted 2 hours at the office and I have to come to the office another day for cleaning my teeth. So disappointed!"
