"While the salon is lovely, the people are friendly, and Jessica my stylist was very sweet, my blow out was unfortunately the worst blow out I’ve ever gotten. I walked out with frizz all over my head. She was running late, 15 or 20 minutes late, so maybe she had to rush through it, but running that late is also a problem, and if that was the issue, she should’ve acknowledged it and at least put some product on my head to smooth it out; because we started so late, I didn’t have time to have her fix it. I won’t be returning."

"UPDATE: NEW OWNERS AS OF MARCH 2020 When I first moved to LA 1.5 years ago I was very nervous about finding someone to takeover my blonde highlights as I had been with the same woman for 10+ years in my hometown and blonde highlights are very tricky and can easily go wrong. After hours of research I came across Ashley who worked at Fringe salon on Abbott Kinney Blvd. I immediately felt a connection with her and had a feeling I could trust her as soon as I met her, and I was right. Ashley has done an incredible job maintaining my highlights this past year and really listening to all my particular directions and hang ups. She is a great listener and even more important, a great soul to spend any amount of time with. When I heard she left to start her own salon I was ecstatic for her (and of course would follow her anywhere)!! She has so much experience and knowledge it was only a matter of time. Just visited the new salon space today and it is BEAUTIFUL. It also seems that she has a great business model in place already and huge plans for the revamp of this salon. I can’t wait to see it continuing to come to life! Will be back"

"I have been a years loyal customer of Tina for years and came from the Lakewood area to Venice bc I loved her work and trusted her with my hair. I had an appointment Sunday for a wedding that I have this weekend. I went with her with an idea of how I wanted my hair to be for that perfect day and she completely disappointed me by her work and customer service. On my Sunday app. I told her I wanted a brown balayage (my hair was previously like that but I needed it to get redone bc it’s been months and it’s had grown and needed lighten). I was so upset and disappointed she turned my hair yellow, and it was blotchy and looked like I did this at home. I paid$170 to look like I was growing out my roots. I was mortified by how bad she blended or did my hair. I send her a txt and at first she didn’t want to help me or accept her mistake, my hair looked fine to her. She told me that “ she was stressed and annoyed that ppl don’t like her ombré and balayage” ... if this was the case she should of let me know she couldn’t do the type of hair color I wanted. After breaking down to my bf , he called her and some convince her to fix this, my hair wasn’t was messed up as it was after one appointment with her. (At first she was just trying to give me $120 but not trying to fix it) bc it look good to her. I WISH I WOULD OF TAKEN MY MONEY, my most horrible mistake is to have gone to that’s second appointment for her to “color correct and turn my hair into a brown balayage “ I wanted to look like me again, Instead was left feeling like I deserve her to fix or give me some sort of refund On my second appointment my bf came with me and omg she left me worst that I could of ever imagine. She bleached my head again and “gave me” moment and blended my hair and bla bla, i left looking worst than my first appointment. My hair is extremely dry and bitter after the multiple bleach or what ever she calls it .. but it wasn’t color. My baby hairs are gone, and I HAVE a burning head sensation. I felt I looked like a Barbie with faded white blond hair at this point. When we were leaving I told her I didn’t like it , it’s too light , it washes me out, can I have some dark in there , it’s not like that pic... and again she told me “you’re so hard to please , I think your hair is fine, it looks like the pic, but I’m what world, I left mad, I wasted 2 days straight to look like this!?!!??!? My hair is so ugly and nothing like the pic of what I told her I wanted my hair to look like, (I will post it , I even showed her one of me and how I had my hair before and how I wanted ) She refused to take responsibility for what she’s done to my hair, wouldn’t even cover up this ugly un toned bleach hair with a brown bc my hair looks perfect to her She wouldn’t answer my call or txt, she blocked me and obviously isn’t offering to fix this or give me a partial refund. Now I’m stuck trying to find some one to color correct my hair and paying more bc it’s last min with someone new bc I have a wedding this weekend... I’ve been so stressed, I trusted her with my hair and she completely left my upset, disappointed and dissatisfied and full of tears. I’m even embarrassed to go to work. I can’t believe I was so excited looking forward to seeing her before my big event and all bc I wanted to be flawless instead this whole week I have been stressing about how I’m going to fix this and splurge again to go to someone else.... crying, and crying more! At one point in our txt msg before our 2nd appointment rudely she told me she was entitle to some of the money bc of the hrs she worked on me... and after the second appointment my hair got uglier and work.... so now I’m like “where’s my half” bc the work I got done by her is not what I expected from a professional, it looked horrible, I’m so dissatisfy. I felt like could of done a better job than this... I don’t expect this type of service or customer skills by a professional. I used to love her, but after being a loyal customer and never one to complained She didn’t own up the the damages she has cause."
