"This is the best Crossroads and really the only one I take my clothes too. The selection is decent and the mens section is the biggest of all the other locations. They have the highest purchasing yield compared to the other locations too so if you are 8th in line or longer you have probably an hour or so till they see you. If you see an endless row of garbage bags it's guaranteed. Ruth has the nicest staff and her positive attitude sets off good vibes. Bring anything good here, they will buy it!"
"I've had lots of good luck finding nice clothes here at a discounted price. Have found nice jackets, flannels, and shoes. Employees are friendly and there are tons of changing rooms. The place is usually very clean and the racks are organized and tidy. I wish they would carry more men's shorts, as they rarely have many, but maybe they tend to have more of those in the spring and summer. And I have never tried to sell them my clothes so I can't comment on that experience."
"This was my first time selling at crossroads and to say I was disappointed is an understatement. I tried to be positive but it was such a letdown being there for over 3 and a half hours. I came in at 11am to sell my clothes I had about 3 bags and I waited 3 hours until they saw my clothes. Mind you while I waited there was 3 others girls looking through people’s clothes to sell. Two of the other girls were taking their sweet time with the clothes and would barely sell any of it. Only one of your employees was actually moving quickly and selling a lot of the clothing items. She would call out at least 3 names by the hour while one of your other employees took about TWO hours to look through two bags of clothes. It did not look like she knew what she was doing and I do not mean to be rude, but this is my first time writing a review because I am genuinely flabbergasted by your employees. You expect me to wait over 3 hours at your store? I understand that it takes a while, but I was not expecting to wait that long. All for only less than 10 of my items to be sold. While I see Shein clothing on your racks and other cheap fast fashion. It is disappointing only one of your employees looked like they knew what they were doing."
"I’ve been selling at Crossroads around the Bay Area for over 10 years. The buyers at this location are slow and extremely selective, they are pretty much just chit chatting with each other with no urgency to get through the queue. I came in to sell and was told it would be about a 45 minute wait but after 2 hours, just decided to leave. If you come in and you’re more than 5th in line, prepare to wait forever or come back on another day. If you’re coming here to shop, you’ll most likely be in luck. Due to their prime location in San Jose they get a bunch of great stuff. Whenever I visit I usually leave with at least one great find."
"I finally ventured in to sell an aloha shirt that was a size too big. I'm very impressed with the process and with the store - it's better than any thrift store or discount store for finding neat clothes, and the selling procedure is pretty easy - you log in at a tablet near the door, wait until they call your name, take your stuff and look at it for a varying amount of time depending on how much stuff there is, then give you two prices: What they'll pay cash and what they'll pay in store credit. It was very busy when I went in, Thursday evening around 5:30. Lots of people buying, and several selling. I'm very pleased and will be back."
