"Buyer beware. We paid $225 for what we understood would be 5 one-hour lessons. Instead, my daughter received 2 1/2 hours of riding instruction (10% discount for a lesson 5-pack). That works out to $90 per hour. The reasoning we were told is that young 13 year old riders tire easily; so, a half hour tacking up and a half hour riding. And if it is raining, the student will get a "barn lesson." Those also last no more than half an hour. Apparently, young minds also tire easily, even those with a thirst to learn. And so your beginner young rider will require those 30-minute private lessons @ ~$50 per half-hour session for quite some time until he or she is deemed ready to be in a group and stay mounted up for a whole hour. Presumably not tiring so easily by then. If that arrangement seems reasonable for beginning lessons, you've come to the right place. We will not be waiting past 5 weeks to learn just how long those short lessons will stretch out to be. We have moved on to a stable near Collierville where $50/hour private riding lessons means exactly what it says. One hour of riding instruction right from the start."
