"On my first visit to Dr. Pritchett’s office, I went in for a routine cleaning and got majorly upsold. He wanted to give me the “deep cleaning” (i.e. a scaling & root planing) on all 4 quadrants of my mouth, fill 7 cavities, and have my remaining wisdom teeth extracted by his oral surgeon buddy. I asked him if he could prioritize the cavity fillings down to 3 and he said no because they were all about the same to him. I allowed him to do half of the deep cleaning, but pushed back on the rest. Feeling very unsettled by this aggressive first appointment, I managed to have my X-rays transferred to another dentist for a second opinion. This dentist said I had only 1 cavity that needed to be filled and his hygienist said she could not tell that a “deep cleaning” had been done on one side of my mouth, then proceeded to give me an excellent standard cleaning on my whole mouth. Please avoid Dr. Pritchett if you can."
