They are true, caring professionals and have helped us navigate the challenging waters of raising our 3 children, they found a serious condition in time to send us to Vandy ER so our son could receive a lifesaving blood transfusion due to anemia, among many other helpful referrals, etc! "The main client deserves a 5 star. Dr Smith is by far the BEST Dr my kids could have. She actually listens and does what's best for my kids. All 4 of my kids feel comfortable around her. I personally trust her to the point I always listen to what she recommends. The after hrs on the other hand I'd give a 4 star.. first I'd like to point out the dr and nurses have always been amazing. My son who has came in many time for asthma is always made priority.. that being said I don't appreciate some of the front deck attitude and approach. I get it they want want to go home shortly after closing time but the job is after hrs so they already know what comes with that. The last few times I've taken my asthmatic son in they like to argue and tell me it's better to take him to the er.. even after I explain his Dr told us to come there first.. the last lady didn't even put his name into the system until a nurse told her she had to. Definitely not appreciate when I'm dealing with a kid that can't breath. Front deck needs to let the Dr's make those calls."

"I am a Vanderbilt Hospital patient for a long time and I called to schedule an appointment for a newborn baby and was told by the receptionist Mikhaela that they are not accepting any new patient not unless you have a sibling or relative that can refer you. Absolutely unfair. The children’s care is only for their long time patient and their family and if you don’t know anyone you will never be accepted. Very bad political scheme. I have never been so disappointed with Vanderbilt."

"The front desk have no empathy, they don’t care about their patients. I called to make a new patient appointment and I told them my daughter is sick, they told me our next appointment for new patients is on November 22, I told the lady that my daughter is sick, I can’t wait that long she was like take her to the emergency. I told her I prefer dr marina zaky I heard good stuff about her, I don’t want to go to the emergency. She was like her next appointment is on November, I asked her if there’s another dr that I can see she was like there no appointments till November. It really broke my heart, I don know how people are so cruel. Am sure you know how a mother feels when her baby is sick and she just want an answer. My advice for the office manager is before hiring your employees you need to teach them empathy, you need to teach them how to talk to their patients and also you need to teach them how to be kind. My daughter is only 18 months and that’s just sad that an office full of doctors would not take her and see what’s going on with her. Hopefully Dr marina zaky will see this review and see how they treat her new patients. Am sure she has a good heart and she wont turn away a sick baby."

"We switched pediatric practices so we could have someone closer to where we lived and this was a new practice so we thought we'd try it after having great experiences with the after hours care center in Brentwood. Well, I can say we love Dr. Smith. She's kind, thorough, thoughtful and happy to see us. I've never had to wait an unreasonable amount of time to be seen and never had issues with the billing. I'm puzzled by some of the negative reviews because I am VERY picky about my kids providers and we've never had an issue with this location. I hope that Dr. Smith stays at this location as we are super happy with her."
