"The place is definitely on the "seedy" side. The stairs to your hotel room are literally rusting away and there's a liquor store in the lobby — I've never seen that before. For those with bad backs, the mattress was flimsy and unsupportive. However, the rooms were clean (despite the faint smell of cigarettes) and the AC was new. There's also room for truck parking in the back which is a plus for those who have trailers. Overall, this was the closest I could get to Nashville and the price was comparatively low (you don't have to pay that outrageous 25% Nashville hotel tax) but I would avoid staying here again if possible."
"New name. Relax Inn. At first we were dubious about staying here. It was the least expensive in the area, and raining so we took a chance. Our room appeared newly remolded. It was super clean, no carpet (I prefer this in a lower priced motel) sparkling while sheets and comforter. The bed was awesome ( new mattresses?) with mattress covers. No bugs, no funky smells. New looking vanity bathroom fixtures. The TV was super sized for a motel room. The only complaint I have was the TV remote, the channel changing button did not work. Otherwise, a great stay at an affordable price."
"Stayed here a night or two and it was pretty bad. I have a two yr old and within 5 mins of walking barefoot her feet were solid black. I told the hoisekeeper and she ended up giving me a mop to clean it myself. Also the toliet had poop stains. There were bugs all in the pictures and crawling on the floor. The remote didn't work. Everything was falling apart. We asked for a discount but was denied. They said the room was already cheap enough. Really? That's not how you run a business. You want your customers happy. You either fix the problem or you refund some of the money."
"Horror movie hotel experience!!! POOP stains and other random stains on BOTH towels. This place is run by people who don’t know about health codes and cleanliness. A thick layer of dust combined with hair was on every surface so I couldn’t place my items ANYWHERE. There was no table to put items on in main area or coat hooks, and our “non-smoking” room smelled like old cigarettes and cats. The maids were heard raucously cackling and cursing as they cleaned each room ..walls were so thin you heard details. No table to eat on. The chairs had stains and were so darkened with grime I was afraid to sit on them. I was also wary of the very dark colored bedspreads as I assume they are probly not ever cleaned. We rented a room one night from a very condescending man at the front desk fully decked out in camouflage gear. Every normal question I asked about the room, he acted as if he was angry I’d asked. He had us pay for a room with WiFi and then informed us as I asked for the password that our room was too far from the router to receive WiFi. No apology, no refund. Police squad cars were always parked directly across st facing building 24/7 waiting for the next crime/incident it seemed. We asked for a later checkout once and were denied. Half of the heater didn’t work so we were cold all night. The floors were covered in huge burns. The room was the size of a prison cell. Everything was old and falling apart, and after looking it over I reached a discovery. The sheets looked used. When I went to take a shower I realized..it was going to be a sprinkle instead as the water pressure was so low. The shower was clogged as a final blow. We were stuck in this town at this hotel for a few days. The toilet paper needed to be replaced as soon as we got there instead of finding a full roll ready to go. Cockroaches crawling everywhere..beware of bringing home a cockroach infestation! There was an African man who worked there as a maid who didn’t respond when you asked him a question or made a request he just walked off or looked at you with wide crazy eyes like you’d made an offense. He seemed to be on stimulants possibly meth. There were men outside asking my fiancé about where they might find drugs. The parking lot had HUGE pothole lakes filled with black water that nearly damaged my car when driving in.. It was scary like a horror movie where your torture takes place in a hotel room. Overall a very ghetto experience..this place should be shut down by the health dept."
"Stayed here for a night on our cross country drive. The guy wouldn't get off the couch in the front office, to greet guests. Which is completely unprofessional. The room, you could tell was water damaged, due to drooping and stained wallpaper. There was a nice hole in the ceiling, in the shower that we corked with a rag because it was just creepy. My parents room had a really bad smell. Needs serious updating and repairs. Other than that, it was quiet and we were able to rest before heading out again."
