"We thoroughly enjoyed the Knoxville Food Tours. Paula made the adventure so much fun and even though I grew up in Knoxville I learned several new things about my hometown. Make sure you go hungry on the tour because you will be stuffed at the end. We ate at four restaurants and they were all delicious. I highly recommend this fun and filling tour!"
"We had a great time with Paula, had so much food (which we loved) and learned a bit about the Knoxville area. Would recommend! Would love to learn more history about the Native and African American contributions in the future."
"Our first tour, loved it! Paula made us feel comfortable in a new city. We had great food! The first 2 stops were pretty filling, so we did some walking and Paula told us stories as we traveled to our last treat stops. She encouraged questions and had the answers. It was a great way to sample the city! We appreciated her easy style and vast knowledge."
"(Sorry food pics posted last!) Phenomenal!!! We had an excellent time. Paula really knows Knoxville, from history to local lore. All of the restaurants we visited were delicious. Finding the group was easy, Paula gives clear instructions. Walk was an easy pace. We had a wide age range on our tour and everyone was comfortable. Paula was very attentive and entertaining. I've been on several food tours and this is by far the best I've ever been on. We were all stuffed! We visited 4 restaurants and Kilwins chocolate. If you'd like to purchase alcoholic beverages or extra food getting a separate bill was no problem. Paula is a fount of Knoxville knowledge. I would highly recommend."
"We have discovered one of the best ways to explore a city is through an amazing food tour.. The Knoxville Food Tour was one of those. We learned much more about this beautiful "scruffy" city including interesting historical facts and landmarks. However, the food on the tour is the star. The restaurants we stopped: Chivo Taqueria (delicious Poison Apple margarita and brisket nachos), Myrtle's Chicken (good southern food including tomato pie and tender chicken), Kopita Mediterranean (our opportunity to try wonderful hummus, baba ghanouj and refreshing mint tea, among so many offerings) and finally the Phoenix Fountain (wonderful story behind the name) serving the most amazing ice cream with banana and granola crumble. Thank you to Paula, our tour guide and one-woman show, who made us all feel at ease and didn't mind that our tour ran over time because we were all sharing stories. She has also arranged discounts through the tour with businesses in the area. I agree with Paula, if you're still hungry after this tour it's your own fault. Be prepared to be fed and entertained. Thank you, Paula"
