"It could've been better if I didn't feel like I was the only one there. I did see one lady however who check me in and cooked breakfast. The breakfast was good however there was hardly any conversation. The lady was kind. So all in all I had a pleasant time at this bed and breakfast. Just needs to work on making conversation."
"I stayed here last November and the hospitality is amazing. These folks will bend over backwards to make your stay as convenient as it can possibly be. Most of their customers are off roaders headed to windrock. The breakfast was great and custom ordered. Rooms were neat and clean. Very comfortable but had no television. I am going back this labor day weekend and expect no less. Update*** I did stay during the 2015 Labor Day weekend and my stay was exceptional just like last time. My son decided to come with us last minute and the manager put us into a room with a twin bed for no additional charge. Rooms were clean and the food was great."
"Rooms large and clean. First visit welcoming with Ruby as a host. Breakfast not normal bed and breakfast family style but portions acceptable. Cooked good served at requested time but quality of breakfast meat poor. Reservations done by owner was totally messed up. Second visit totally messed up. New host Cathy polite but children shoes and toys in large tv area, room too hot to sit in ac not on. Requested breakfast at 7:30 given two pieces of french toast and one hard cooked slice of sausage. Asked for two scrambled eggs; took 45 min to cook. Next morning breakfast still not done at requested time. Had to ask for toilet paper for three of the rooms the shower curtain hooks missing, three chairs to sit outside, no outside gathering area except small smoking gazebo, firepit and fish pond dirty not kept up. Large weeds growing by side entrance with trash barrels. After noon party was held in tv area leaving no place for guests to park with trailer. Could be a great place to stay but unless improvements made our group will not be back. Stayed at many B/B and this one needs help."
"My friends and I stayed at the Windmill Inn four days in Oct and the stay was super. We came on our motorcycles and wanted to ride the mountains before the winter weather moved in. We did just that, the Devils Triangle right down the road a couple miles and the Tail of the Dragon across the state line in North Carolina were only a couple of beautiful routes available to ride and enjoy. There is much breathtaking beauty only moments from the Inn. You'll love it. The stay with Brenda and John was especially nice. We were treated so much like family it was wonderful. They garaged our bikes during our stay, which was unexpected and even moved their personal vehicles to accommodate ours. Wow SO NICE. Here's one for the still unbelieving! I was driving home to Florida after saying good bye the last day of our trip, I was a few miles beyond Oliver Springs, a very foggy morning, I pulled over on the side of the road putting on bad weather gear, John saw me and stopped to see if I needed help. I am not kidding when I say that these folks are and were wonderful to stay with and I will definitely stay with them on my next trip to Tennessee. I think that if I get remotely close to Oliver Springs I will stop in for a visit. If you or your friends are planning a trip to the Tennessee mountains you will not be disappointed with the down home feel and treatment. I feel like I now have friends in those mountains and not just that I met a hotel or bed and breakfast manager. Thanks for those memories and I will make sure that more of them occur there."
"We were lucky to find this hidden treasure during one of our work trips in the area. It was a great feeling to be treated like family by the innkeepers who were extremely accommodating to our needs. The rooms are very comfortable while the common areas provided ample opportunities for fun and relaxation. The location is perfect for anyone visiting Windrock Park, which is just a short drive down the road, while just a few minutes from groceries, gas, and restaurants. We look forward to visiting any time we are in the area!"
