"Sweep the parking lot. There’s cigarette butts everywhere from probably employees and customers, but idk who’s not been keeping up with that if that’s the manager, property owner, or franchise owner. Either way it’s gross, repulsive, and unsightly. I shouldn’t have to dredge through cigarette butts on my way in and out of your store. Put a receptacle out like they have for the past 150 years. Either way, I imagine the parking lot hasn’t seen a broom since Bush was inaugurated and that’s nasty."
"Rudest customer service. You should be able to walk up to a register and pay without being talked down too.Acted aggravated just to walk to the register. Get self check out and get rid of rude staff."
"Amazing , love this place an it has lots of everyday things that you can use an need. Great atmosphere Friendly, helpful always enjoy go in to see what they have. Everyone needs to check them out."
"The most convenient and courteous store within Oliver Springs, but also one of the few locations where the employees are genuinely friendly and helpful, as opposed to the fake cheeriness and false smiles often seen at places like Food City or Walmart. That difference is not only noticeable, it is distinctly memorable. While all of the employees I met were knowledgeable about the inventory and store layout, Kenneisha in particular was very helpful to me in choosing a thoughtful Father's Day card and gift; patiently making suggestions, asking about my dad and our relationship, really getting personally invested while displaying an emotional intelligence that I sorely needed. All the while keeping a sharp eye on the front register and helping every customer with warmth, charming wit, and enviable professionalism. They say you can measure the quality of a store and it's crew by how many older, more discerning customers enjoy shopping there. Well, every one of the wiser generations love to come to this place. Do they have the best prices or coldest drinks? No one knows. Are their prices reasonable, their selection varied? Is the layout practical? Do they have a crew of good, decent people? Yes. The answer to all of these questions is a definitive and solid, "Yes". You don't have to rush your shopping or be forced to deal only with the bland smiles, cold eyes, and distant 'neutral on all decisions' personas that most retail employees adopt. At the Family Dollar of O.S., you deal with real people that you can relate to and befriend while still enjoying competence and a work ethic that should be the envy of any retail company. I don't know if they're the most profitable store and I can't speak for any other Family Dollar locations, but this is the place I enjoy shopping the most with the employees that I appreciate the best."
"I love Family Dollar. The employees are always helpful and nice. Doesn't hurt that I live less than 3 minutes from the store lol. However, I feel bad for the employees they have to work with no air conditioner. It's been broken for months. I understand everything is harder to get fixed because of covid. However, the store is way to hot for the employees to work in all day with masks too."
