"I can only say good things. Traveling through I needed some work on my back, as I often do. The owner, Amelia, made time for me on a Friday after most of the staff had called it a day. Her skills were nothing short of excellent and my back was in much better shape. The next day I spent hiking and I had totally forgotten that it was in pain the day before. There were two staff members there, and both Amelia and the other were friendly, informative and relaxed but profesional. The massage and the advice made my stay in Eureka all the better."
"I went to the spa to get a sauna. The spa itself is lovely and the employees were great, although I could tell they were not surprised by my lack of enthusiasm when I left. First off, the sauna never got above 77 degrees, there was no drinking water, or shower to utilize and the music provided was the local radio. The music wasn't too bad, but commercials in the middle of my sauna, not so relaxing. If you have had a traditional sauna before you will be very disappointed. If you've never tried a sauna, you should! Just not at Eureka Spa."
"Bonnie is an amazing massage therapist! I arrived in Eureka from Minneapolis for a 4 week stay. After schlepping my luggage around through airports and bus stops, I knew, with my chronic back problems, that without treatment I'd be immobile within two days. Fortunately, I discovered the Eureka Spa & Salon. Bonnie has a solid command of and knows her way around the skeletal-muscular system of the human body. Her massage was not some standard routine; she specifically addressed and corrected my particular issues. I worked at one of the highest rated day spas in Minneapolis and have had numerous massages from excellent body workers. Bonnie is by far the best therapist I have ever had. Because of her, I can enjoy my stay in Eureka. And you can I will be back to see her before I leave and anytime I return for another trip."
"I have not had such poor customer service than at the Eureka Spa. I had bought two gift certificates for my mom totaling $120. I asked if there was an expiration date on the gift certificates and was told by the employee no. There is also no expiration date on the gift certificates. When my mom went in to use them she was told that they were void because new owners had bought the Eureka Spa. I called and talked to the manager Katherine who said they were void, no exceptions, and was extremely rude to me. I asked to speak to the owner and she said that it was now a corporation who owned the Eureka Spa and refused to give me the name so I could contact them, told me I had wasted enough of her time today, and hung up on me. I have never had such a poor experience with a business as I have with Katherine of the Eureka Spa. She handled the situation extremely poorly. I work at a local boutique while I am completing the nursing program. $120 is a lot of money to be thrown away without having advance notice to use it or have it become void. From working at a small local boutique I understand the importance of customer service and satisfaction because that is what keeps customers coming back to your business, and choosing your business over others like it. I will never go back to the Eureka Spa after Katherine's behavior over the phone, and it's good to know that the Eureka Spa is owned by a corporation so I can support locally owned spas instead."
"tanning beds 10 dollars for 10 minutes, tanning oil 2 dollars & you dont get nothing, they gave me shea butter in these little packets enough for couple of spots, they took Advantage of me & treated me like crap. don't pay cash. Shea butter crap. 10 minutes I was tanning I got Burn circles Back legs very nasty burn. Oil they gave me for 2 dollars did not even cover my Body. I'm gonna report them to the health dep. she gave no Advice for first time tanning. she did not tell me that I should tan for any less then 10 minutes.
