Reviews of Niello MINI Service Center
"Do not take your Mini here unless you want to leave a lot of money on the table for them to sell you pricy repairs not needed with overpriced part from which they profit quite a bit. Worst place to take you car in for service. I took my Mini here many times and they always overcharge and try to sell you maintenance and repairs that are not needed. This past month I said enough after they asked me a combined 5k to for a check engine light on a 2010 cooper S. They obviously charged me the crazy $240 for diagnostic and took the whole day to give me the ludacris estimate. Just look.at the place and what they have to pay to maintain all that real estate and staff. WHere do you think they are getting all that money... from overcharging customers."
"After lots of complications they completed my requested repair with skill and they charged appropriately."
"As a mini cooper mechanic i have made a living off of these guys misquoting clients. I mainly buy and sell coopers. It is very common for me to buy coopers that these astronauts claim have bad engines and need thousands of dollars in repairs. Yet when i get them, the issues are not really that bad. People finish off selling for cheap their loved cars and buying new cars from the dealership. So dealership never loses. Either its a strategy to sell more cars or the "mechanics" have no idea what they are doing. I just bought a cooper jcw, expensive car for a fraction of the cost. The seller brought in because it would heat up, dealership changed thermostat, the dealership than claimed the car was not reaching temperature so it was most likely a blown head gasket, The dealership quoted the seller, around 12k to have this fixed. If you have any mechanical knowledge you know this is absurd. I bought the car towed it away started it made sure the coolant system was properly bled which it was not and the car worked perfectly fine. Sold it to a friend been driving it for a while perfect no issues at all. I literally did nothing to the car. Just like this story i have had a ton more, misquotes, needs new engine because a misfire, around 10k to fix, the car literally just needed a spark plug 20$ fix, other car needed a coil pack same thing. Other ones, car needs time chain still has not jumped, engine is good, all it needs is a new chain because the guides are noisy, these guys tell em needs a new engine, meanwhile they could have fixed for close to nothing. It seems like common knowledge on mechanics is absent here and the ability to solve problems is non existent. They just throw engines at it or throw parts at it using your wallet. My advice find yourself a reputable shop that cares about their reputation one that works with actual mechanics not part installers, and also cares about doing good business. One that actually cares about their clients and does not use generic responses to all your questions like they will here on this review. Save yourself a lot of money and headaches."
"Another great customer service endeavor. Casey is an awesome service advisor."
"I was lucky to work with Tony McCall as my service manager. While my car may not be in top shape, I was able to reach them on 12/26 and get in, WITH a loaner, a 2023 Mini S! My vacation was saved! The malfunction was quite slippery, but Tony and his team were tenacious! When the system lights no longer showed up after many different fixes, he felt confident letting the car leave their nest! Tony followed up w me and checked on me after my 400mile drive home. 10* service!"
